Well, ya, but, I tried to upload mine, and it got rejected as well. You think Ap would show a little grace for first-time uploaders that come with a warning and requirement sheet and stuff like that.

Yeah, it's not wallpaper size and the art itself is not exactly quality (the lines are sketchy and the colors are just not very well done). And the background is pretty lackluster itself.

Hope I wasn't being too offfending, but wallpapers take time. I think AP believes in quality so getting things in could be quite a hair-puller.

Its a bit harsh, but if you're a good member, you would check the guide and forum first before doing anything.

I think the background looks usually boring simular to most of the first time uploaders asking for help here :)

Also, did you paint that girl yourself or something? The outline looks quite messy (my opinion), or is it just stylish, who knows.

Xanaplayer: I understand your feeling because i once felt that way too. But it can't be helped. We're members and we have to obey the rules here. There's nothing we can do to against rules.
Okay to the topic:
1.) Oh dear..your SCAN! What've you done with it?! Did you draw it alone? I don't know the mod's opinion but this is BAD!
2.) If you take a look closer to the wing, there's still some blue parts and that's annoying. The wing's only one too. You shold pay more attention to small things if you want your wall to be accepted in the gallery.
3.) What text is that on her skin? Remove it!
4.) I'll say your bg is too simple.
5.) Like jlee said, this looks so goofy. And the font isn't too interesting. You should put more efforts on it.
Allright,in short,i'll say this wall still has a long way to go. The main problem is the scan. But it's not really bad. Quite nice,i'll say. Good luck on this! ^^ And sorry to be so harsh.

If you want to draw out the character your self on photoshop, you could try use the pen tool and vector the thing out (theres some tutorials out there, have a look!)

If you need informations about the size of a wall paper PLEASE check the AP Guide before asking on Session Zero...

About the grace that AP could have about young waller... Euh... Sorry but here it's about quality.. Not about kindness... If you want comments on your work and learn about the way to make walls, come to session zero withe technicals questions and try out first to check out some wall... Like you click on "Home" and you'll find some..

If you see bad wall, tell us about it cause on AP everybody must try to reach the perfection about walls... That's the price... I don't do walls cause I'm not good enought... But I learn form commenting other and reading the others comments... That's the way things go on AP...

After some times here you'll get the tricks and start new walls that will be much beter! I'm sure! ;)

Vectoring is basically tracing over an image to improve its quality...pictures are based on pixels, after vectoring, it will be instead solid blocks of colour..

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vector_graphics

Search for 'vector'...

pen mouse with pad ^_^ It helps lots!! You can get one on ebay for anywhere between 25-100+ it's a bit spendy but if you want good wall papers then you should get one. Also if you can try and take a class, OMG it helps a lot to have some one teach you how to use adobe programs ^_^

You should probably try an other software...

I was wondering... Did you draw it yourself or is it a scan? Cause if it's your drawing, you shouldn't use it on AP... The mods don't really like the self made drawings... :-s

If you want to make a wall, try first with something easy to extract and go from there...

Paint.net? I've never used that program (I've used Paint shop pro and photoshop)

photoshop is the way to go. Vectoring is also the way to go with that pic. You also need to have a better background too...

and no offense it's VERY hard to get original works of art accepted here. I suggest fooling around with a wallpaper and a stock image first to get the hang of making a wallpaper, and then post those wallpapers here for us to give you pointers.
