Chrono Cross
Ya know...this game is really nice. Not to mention their storyline ^O^
It was great even the graphics are cool. But too bad that the main character never speaks at all :P. But anyway, come down here and talk about this game. Or maybe even share our opinion about this game....

Chrono Cross is a superb PSX RPG, definitely one of my faves. I was very impressed with the visuals when it came out; it's one of the best looking PSX games out there. The score by Yasunori Mitsuda is just awesome, among his finest. The only gripe I had with the game was the whole equipping of elemental stuff. I always had a certain order to who had what where, but when they made you switch characters, you lost that and had to set it up all over again. Very annoying.
Yeah, sometimes I feel that way. But ya know what...I actually not yet finished this game. I got stuck at the time when we need to fight with black dragon. The dragon seems not going to wake up. Mind if anyone would tell me how to get through that..... I'm out of idea XD

It was a great PSX game. One of its best. I kind of wish there was a Chrono game that bridges Trigger and Cross. Cross brings up some interesting questions.
Yoshitaka, this is a discussion thread, not a faq. Go to www.gamefaqs.com for help :P
I own the game, but have yet to finish it. I intend on finishing now that I'm going to have so much free time on my hands. Can't wait to get started on it.
The FAQ you'll want to read is Gamefaq's CC FAQ, just find the "Black Dragon" section.
I loved CC's story and visuals but never replayed it, as the magic (or elemental) system just bugged the heck out of me.
If I learn a spell, I should be able to use it as many times as I want in battle.

I played this game a few years ago. It´s was great and has good graphics, an incredible story, an awesome soundtrack ( I really loved a lot of the tracks) and a interesting list of playable characters for traveling ( I think they are about 40 members).
I really loved the combats and the cool done backgrounds, the characters (we´re talking about a PSX game) where done perfectly and the atmosphere suits perfectly with all the game.
I remember some "kameos" with Chrono Trigger characters and some melodies that were identical to the ones appearing in one of the best games in Super Nes.
For this game I remember playing it in japanese and, later, in English and the American version was a lot easier that the japanese version (yeah it´s true, try to make the prove).
For Square Enix this was a great title as many others like Xenogears, Legend of Mana and other extremely well done RPG for the grey computer of Sony (PSX)

You've Played Chrono Trigger, right? Cuz even though it is older, I think Chrono Trigger is even better than Cross. Cross is awesome though. I love all the characters as well as the Dragons in the story. I just wish the ending was better.
Chrono Cross was a good game. Unfortunately, there seemed to be unclear plot-holes that were never answered (back when I cared about figuring it all out). And I recall that there was such little character development in-game (NA version) I thought it was a waste of time to have as many characters in the game as were featured (though, after reading bits of the Ultimania guide, it seemed a lot more in-depth). I remember not liking the fact that I had to read a translated Ultimania guide to find out all of the neat intricacies in this game.
The execution of the game was enjoyable, though. The single most enjoyable aspect of this game was the soundtrack; it's one of my favorites. I already liked Mitsuda Yasunori's works before, but there's something entirely entrancing about this game's soundtrack. "Shore of Dreams -Another World-" is one of my favorite tracks.

There was at times something great about Chrono Cross, mostly in the beginning and after the neat twist at the disc change but as mentioned before, too many character and an unfulfilling end story and climax kept it from being a true classic like it's spiritual predecessor. Still, the graphics were great, the music fantastic, and the battle system interesting, just didn't care too much for the leveling up system.

I loved the game. Definitely worthy of the Chrono series.
Chrono Cross, and Trigger, are games that I will never forget. I don't know of any other game with as many multiple endings as these games, or as many playable characters. For me, an RPG gamer who has to collect everything in a game, such as Pieces of Heart, Chrono Cross was a dream come true.
