This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

I just got done beating DOC (Dirge of Cerberus) and was both happy and sad at the same time. The story was both good and bad, the CG was awesome, Vincent is a Badass, The gun customization had great potential but kind of left lacking, and though the shooting was very simplistic, I actually didn't get bored with it as quickly as I thought I would (I don't know if I could go through it again though). The boss battles were hella easy and it was annoying sometimes to start over at the beginning of the stage when you died. But yet overall I enjoyed it. But that is probably because I'm a hardcore FFVII Fan and will love anything associated with it. What do other people think?

Dirge of Cerberus, as a game, is total and absolute garbage. Boring, it totally lacks deepness, it's a total piece of cake, the battle system is totally lame.

I don't mind about the rest of the things in that game, if the gameplay is crap. Even the Gungrave games are better than this thing, and definitely there's no comparison with stuff like the Devil May Cry series.

I was excited for this game when I first heard about it. When it finally came out, it got mediocre reviews so I never bought it. I borrowed it from a friend for awhile. Never beat it. The cinematics were awesome, but the real-time graphics sucked. The game was really linear. It might aswell been a rail shooter.

Like these guys have already said, the story was ok. I thought the in-game graphics were ok. Much more detailed than most other games. However the system sucks. Even with sensitivity put to max, it takes too long to look around. The game tries, and failes to be a 3rd/1st person shooter.

What everyone had said. The plot is still fine, in my opinion, but the combat system was mediocre, to say the least. Metal Slug had been much more fun. Still, I had some fun with it, so I can't complain. I was kinda sad that they did not include the other demons in Vincent, though. It would've been more entertaining. Heck, give us a rocket launcher too, just as a joker weapon or something that you can unlock.

Don't give a darn, what people say about this game. I love playing this and the storyline's awesome, love the way you customize the parts of his weapons. I have to say one of the best games in the FF7 series.

I think it´s a good game but a little different of what Square Enix usually made. It´s different of any rpg or fighting game that company as ever made...a shotter game is more for...american market and japanese people don´t like them (They miss games as great as Halo or Half life or something like this). But this dirge of cerberus can be watched over two different perspectives:
In one side we can watch Dirge of Cerberus like a shotting game with Vincent as main character and nothing more. Then, this game is crappy, the graphics are not as good as Final Fantasy X or FFXII or Kingdom Hearts and other Square Enix creations, the music suits perfectly but isn´t a master piece and the gameplay begins with interesting new things but, when you have played many hours, the game begins to get boring.

And in the other side, if we watch this game as a different perspective of the Final Fantasy VII story, a more deeper watch of the character of Vincent Valentine and his past, his present and his future and the evil plans of Shinra corporation, we have a completely new game and intriging when we play, we know more new characters to the FFVII story, more about Lucrecia, more about the profesor Hojo and more about our beloved Sephirot.

I don´t think is a bad game...but isn´t a master piece

Considering it's a FF7 spinoff the current thing we're talking about, saying it's "one of the best" is not saying much.

It's impossible for me to appreciate other details of a game, if its main base (the gameplay) fails totally :( Sorry, but Dirge or Cerberus' full motion videos or the whole fact that it's a game dedicated to Vincent (heck, after beating FF7, I totally got tired of its story but I still thought Vincent was one of the best things of that game, and it was a shame he was totally and highly ignored) won't make me play this thing again.

Its cruel to those who use inverted camera controls, since after every cut scene it resets to regular, you think they would have caught that bug before it make it to amerian release. it's nothing spectactular, if you love the final fantasy VII story it one to get, the game isn't super great like i said, i bought it more for the story and the graphics. the weapon customization is nice but there isn't much you can do i hope the game is similar to Zone of the Enders where it was great in thought leading to an amazing sequal.

After all the reviews like the ones above I've heard, I didn't think the game was that bad. I did get bored after a few days, but that happens with all games. Vincent is really cool in it (gotta like anyone voiced by Spike) and the story is overall very good. The gameplay isn't near as bad as everyone says, at least to me. Given, I'm not a big FPS or TPS person, so this was fine. WRO really needs better defenses though.

I think I'm buying the art from the manual as a poster for my room.

I think that the gameplay was kinda crappy, but barable. I mean, actual gameplay gets boring anyway with any games, and level ups only satisfy you for a little while too.I love Vincent, and the ending kicked ass. I think that the story line was really good though, I learned a lot about him ( I didn't play the first game and first learned about Cloud in Kingdom Hearts and picked up the series from there) So yeah. I personally thought it was good. I'm waiting for the price to go down a little more before I buy it though. *has no money to call her own.*

The controls are pretty bad, camera too... but the whole rest is great, music is just like it should be (well except gackt), graphics are ok (renders are stunning) plus storyline is not so bad.. :> 7/10
