In genral when they stopped showing the old cartoons do you think we as everyone in a whole lost something. back when i was a kid i used to watch nickolodean all the time back when they showed good cartoons and shows in genral. now if you click it on you see crappy cartoons cant name them since there not worth remembering. but with the rugrats once they started the computer cgi with it and cleaned it up it looked great but as they kept makeing the serise longer it seemded to get dumber as well. but i also think seeing a anvil fall on willie cyote's head every know and the is quite relaxing. with the newer cartoons it seems like if you watch them alot you get tired of them were with a cartoon like looney tunes you can watch them for hours on end it seemed like.
while i was on vacation the cartoon wait till your father gets home came on and was funnier then majority of the newer cartoons out if not all of them. personally once we stopped airing the old cartoons like the flintstones and the jetsons even speed racer we lost something. watching the old school cartoons and the watching the newer cartoons the newer cartoons just seem stupid. Although that could be the generation gap showing so what does every one else think.

I don't have either a good impression of newer cartoons; I think they rely too much on snot and disgusting stuff.
If I compared what I used to see when I was a child with what's being broadcasted now, I can't help to think that the ones I watched before were way better. Although I don't know how much is just that I remind the things from before with a fondness and how much is that they were genuinely better.

I agree with the fact that old school cartoons were much better than the stuff that is put on TV today. I want the old stuff back. I mean, the cartoons of old still appeal to me today, at the age of 20. Most of the stuff on television today is boring and obnoxious. But i am sure if you ask younger kids today, they think the shows on Tv are great. Guess it comes down to a generational difference like mentioned earlier. Still, old school are better, always ^^!

Old cartoons were good, I don't understand why some people says that new anime is so violent, just remember bugs, always fighting with the crazy duck, but they were so funny, Flinstones were good too.

Old cartoon ?

Scooby doo, Looney toons, and Disney. This are some my old cartoon I've been watch. For newer Cartoon I watch The Simpson. Mostly funny, and without gross thing (only watched session 1&2).

Hmm i reallly like the nick-toons too but i also think there are a few nice new ones.. maybe powerpuff girls or the fairy oddparents.. i love them and i dont think they belong to the old ones.. also i really like spongebob but i can understand if somebody does not like him.. hes a reallly loud person *g* then theres kim possible which has such a nice humor and i like the style too..

Old school cartoons where great i remeber how i enjoy'd to watch them in my country the only channel with lots of cartoons was cartoon network the classic one before they started deviding in usa, west europe,central european, east europe i think it was arround then that those stupid new cartoons started to apear i mean the drawing was garbage it was nothing compared to the old cartoons and the plot was either 2 stupid ofr any age or it was gross i mean why the heck should a five year old or 10 year old should be force to watch those stupid things and some might think i'm exagerating when i say forced but its true i mean what can that kid do he isnt going to whatch some polytics or discovery it just isnt atractive at that age so even if he doesent like it he doesent have anything else he can do except watch those cartoons so i really hate them even now :))

technically from how it sounded in the news paper it will be pretty much the same thing as the original but speeds son's cousin or something that maybe the new racer x thats just how the news paper put it.

so you think it will be good or bad?
i think the animation would be decent but the story line i would have to wait to watch the show. but just like the new spin offs of some of the old cartoons anime they could ruin the show with the new series there makeing.

Cartoons and anime are different, very different, besides cartoons never had a storyline there were just to make tou have fun, very different from anime, anime always try to tell you a story

Well when i wrote my last post i forget speed racer was a anime and wrote cartoon instead. but the cartoons that are drawn to look like anime are just plain stupid.

Well for me I miss seeing things like the old Brit classics like Count Duckula and Dangermouse, for these had the right sort of humour, witty instead of needing to do a fart joke to be funny. Kids wouldn't get something like Doug these days I don't think.

I still find the looney tunes to be funny. As for other cartoons like Hanna Barbera well it made me wonder these days why I even bothered watching them hahahaha. I find scooby doo a bit annoying now especially after seeing almost the same old thing like a masked villain in the end.

Well, I'd rather have the old toons than these new ones. they're too... well, just not that entertaining for me. I guess it's still Looney Tunes FTW for me.

Perhaps the newer generation will remember there cartoon as we remember our old cartoon. But i do remember enjoying Tom and Jerry, and i think it was Ducktales or something. And some more i forgot the names of. But now when i look at a cartoon it just doesn't look appealing in any way... Perhaps i just thought the older once were more appealing because i was young. And who knows the newer generation will think the same about old cartoon as we do about the newer once.

Oh yeah, I agree, the most cartoons on tv right aren't even funny anymore. I like to watch cartoons but not things like Carl2, Rugrats (grown up series), Kim Possible, The X's and whatnot. Tho I'm glad Nick is broadcasting Angry Beavers here again, because they simply win XD And same with Spongebob tbh, it has a good sense of humor, any age can enjoy it. Same with Dexter, Bugs Bunny, Cow and Chicken and Tom & Jerry. Even my father watched Dexter >< I mean, seriously.
