Your Opinion About Disney Artists
I think they're somewhat overrated, they don't have much talent like other singers, and they don't really do anything to contribute to their songs, there's people writing the lyrics, people producing it and even people telling them what their voice will sound good with. They have no sense of personality because they're products, not popstars.
Miley Cyrus is a good example, she's such a drama queen and thinks that everything revolves around her, her racy pictures are a good example. Vanessa Hudgens is somewhat similiar.
Of course, I'm not saying there isn't good ones, Hilary Duff, she doesn't have the best voice but I think that she really strayed away from the Disney root, her songs are good. Lindsay Lohan can actually sing, and her songs all have a sense of personality and emotion behind it, no matter how screwed up she's made her life.

All of these artists you mentioned are just a design of the main music industry to get little girls/boys to spend their money on them.
It can be that some of them have a nice voice but overall they are nothing special. They are all good looking and I hardly believe that's the main point for them to be chosen as a artist. The voices are nothing special and although I've never heard one of them live (not on CD) I can imagine that the voices might be very thin and without much relevance.

I actually thought that you were referring to the Disney artists that, you know, ARE artists (worked on the visuals in Lion King, Pixar stuff, etc), until I realized this was in the music forum. I think we as a society should bar the use of the word "artist" when describing the aforementioned commercial individuals; such a title does not befit them, as neither are the involved in the actual artistry of composing the music nor producing it, besides merely lending their very-mundane voices that just about any other teenage voice of the same gender can substitute. And yes, teenagers in modern society are not at the point in their lives where they can understand of fully appreciate the intricacies of life in general (really, who can?).
I have to agree with you, they are pretty overrated. Most of them have little to no talent on their own, they have to have people write their songs and tell them how they should sing, etc. There's really no emotion behind their works and to me, that just makes the songs sound hollow. It all just feels so recycled and in the end, if they don't learn how to break out of that and make it on their own, they'll simply fade away until the next 'big thing' comes along.
I actually I think Lindsay lohan is the one who has no talent. All she does is get drunk & then strip. Because if you are saying that miley cyrus & vannessa has no personality or “emotion” to their songs then so does Lindsay. She doesn’t even have a strong personality or back bone. Hilary duff used to be good but look at what she has became since her last album. That album never made it to the top. I am not a big vannessa or miley fan all I am trying to say is that they have personality too & emotion to their songs & music regardless of the fact that they are produced by Disney companies. Actually they have no comparison to other singers because they are working in a totally different field. They are working for Disney. & they are doing a good job too because kids all around the world love their work especially miley cyrus not Lindsay lohan.

I think the modern Disney singers are pretty lame... I think all of them are mediocre at best and overrated. However, Disney singers would seem to also include those singers that worked on the movies that are now known as Disney "classics" such as Alladin and The Lion King. (Why don't they make any more movies that have nice songs like those ones?) Some of the songs there are really memorable and awesome.
When I was a kid I used to watch Disney movies every night.But what I liked most about the movies are the songs,especially The Lion King.That movie has great songs and even now I still liked it.Lindsay Lohan is an example of good girl gone bad

As much as I loathe to admit this, most of Miley Cyrus's songs are super catchy and a few of them have ended up on my zune (See You Again, 7 Things, Start All Over) but I think that's all they are, catchy. None of her songs seem to contain any emotions other than "Hey! Dance to this!" And from what I understand Miley doesn't write a lot of her songs.
I don't know much about the Highschool Musical gang because I've never been able to watch it and I don't care enough to look up the cast.

I love Disney, and i think, "artists are not so bad", there are worse things.
But i dont like Miley Ciryus, it is very material.
On the other hand, the Jonas Brothers are very cool, i love his music.
And i love too High School Musical.

I find myself often changing the channel whenever I'm confronted with anything relating to these kids. Frankly, the Disney channel (shows, movies, and their recording artists included) has become utter excrement, pandering to a pre-teen audience who shamelessly eats it up. The Disney execs need to worry about the quality of what's being produced instead of how much profit they're milking from their stars-of-the-week.

Definitely 100% pure crap. All of them were designed, assembled, and pushed by the industry (Disney specifically) for the sole purpose and intentions of making money; no talent or drive to create something amazing exists on the artists' part (if you can even call them artists)...

Disney artists make me angry >.< I can't say i'm that much happier with nickelodeon with the naked brothers band or whatever their called. Every kid that is in a show seems to have their own record now. iCarly, Drake, Miley, Lindsey, blah blah. It's sad but it doesn't even feel like singing is that special of a talent anymore
