After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

Cartoon network has been going down hill with their listings, but today was the last straw for me. Yes, laugh, but they took the old Pokemon off of the air again (it was on in the morning) and that ticked me off. I no longer have incentive to get out of bed.

What's going on with the new cartoons? Are kids just dumber or have the times changed again? I'm not even 20 years old and the state of a lot of these new cartoons offends me. They're absolutely brainless. I find almost none of them funny (with the exception of Ed,Edd &Eddy, Courage the Cowardly Dog (which also isn't on, along with the Power Puff Girls), Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, and Fairly Odd Parents) and I'm very easy to amuse.

Some feedback, if you please.

Oh yes they have. Cartoon Network now compared to Cartoon Network a few years back is horrible. I mean back in the day when you got out of school you had something to look forward to, Gundam Wing, Dragonball, Dragonball Z, Kenshin, and Ronin Warriors. Hell even Sailor Moon was good to come home to, but now.. Kids come home to.. Ben10 and other dumb things. Luckily my Cartoon Network days were the good ones.

I would have to agree with you whole-heartedly. All their content has decreased in quality and interest in the past few years. Toonami, regular scheduling, [adult swim], all their original programming fails to entertain as of late. Camp Lazlo and My Gym Partner is a Monkey were wastes of space, but I do approve of Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends and the cartoon featuring Andre 3000. As a native Atlantan, the Atlanta culture represented in that cartoon and the music is a nice twist, though I don't know exactly how they are marketing that across the US. It's an interesting concept and watchable.

However, [Adult Swim] is at least a little better. Venture Bros and the Boondocks were absolutely brilliant. Their anime choices made me unhappy as of late, though. Blood+ is an awesome anime up to about episode 13 and then degrades into positively awful writing. Bleach is a good choice as far as marketing goes, but I personally do not care for it. Trinity Blood is a good novel and manga, but the anime was positively cringe-worthy. Death Note is, in my opinion, a fun series when you're alone. Other fans of that series are absolutely horrifying. I like it in secret, but I won't admit it to anyone. FullMetal Alchemist was the best that they had for me, and I adored every second. So I'll start watching again once they pick up a title I'd like to see.

Hmm...it was only for a short time that i had cartoon network a couple years back (it was the cable company, they had to do a systems check and i had CN for about a week) it was fun but now that i hear that the toons are getting worse...
if it makes anyone feel any better its kinda the same deal over here in south korea, there's like 3 or more channels dedicated to cartoons and their toons have disappointed me over the past few years...
yes i know i should be over cartoons (ugh my dad gives this speach every time he sees me watching anime or something cartoony) but its a part of me now i can't live life without cartoons/anime...i'm sure some people will agree with me on this... heehee _(._.)_ emoticon

I don't think it's just Cartoon Network.

I think cartoons in general are just much worse these days XD. Sometimes my little cousins come over, and they're infatuated by these ridiculously lame cartoons T_T.

I don't know, maybe it's just me missing the good ol' days, but I really despise most of the crappy cartoons I see on kid programs these days...

Oddly enough though, a few years back, I used to wake up to Pokemon early in the morning for class XD. It felt like that theme song inspired me for the day T_T...then they changed it to Teen Titans >_<

I so have to agree with you on this! CN then and now are so different. much like black and white. back then their shows were fun to watch and i looked forward to watching their shows, but now when i browse through their channel it's like "boring..." or "what the heck?" they should go back to what they were.

Cartoon Network has become more a joke the last few years with what they have been doing. They take all of their best shows off; such as Kenshin, Gundam Wing, and some other shows I cannot think of at the moment. I really hated how they stop the kenshin series right in the middle. I mean they didn't even finish the series, before taking it off. This wouldn't be the first time they did this, because they did this with the original Mobile Suit Gundam. They didn't show the entire series, and they stop right in the middle of it. Granted they did show the last episode, due to a little special deal; however, we didn't get to watch the rest of the series. They replace these shows with little kiddie shows, that are just bad all together. I'm just wondering how much worse Cartoon Network can get before they finally decide to crash.

Our Cartoon Network here (East Asia) is rather ok.

I just wish that the toonami segment is filled with teen-mature(not hentai, hehehe) anime rather than power rangers..I envy those whose CN has more anime in their toonami.

I like watching cartoons also. More often than our local shows..I mean, it makes me laugh and I really need that after a hard day's work..besides talking to friends and all

Well, you might disagree but it was never really good-i mean most cartoons mentioned when you think about were pretty mediocre themselves-and yeah this includes Dragon Ball and Gundam.Of course, when you are a kid,the battles, the cool robots are just great, but try sitting and watching any of those now and you'll see what i mean.Of course, you'll probably see the social critics that you failed to notice then, but then most animes have them at least a little and more or less put in a humorous way...
I also disagree with this opinion on Full Metal Alchemist-if you try to watch it objectively(that is without the influence of all the critics blogs and other anime-related papers),it is as cliched as any other anime.Of course alchemy and bionic arms are cool but Death Note and Trinity Blood are at least as good.Which also means that FMA can be as bad as both of them. They probably are less satisfying but that's futile...unless you are a kid or think as one.
Now,there is this complete misconception(i'm trying to remain decent) about cartoons being worse this days. Before saying stuff like that, try to watch more of them and believe me you'll be amazed...Something as brilliant as the Boondocks could not have been made a while ago so try to think some more before posting...Of course,i could list a few dozen shows that are as brilliant and remarkably unknown but i won't bother...Google...
But to come back to the CN debate,it does suck now(and imo always has)but that is not because cartoons are not as good now but that they simply do not broadcast the right ones-just as all the other cartoon channels i have do(wish i were japanese sometimes)-and you're just not able to truly estimate the quality of the decent ones(i say decent). Also, try to consider the average age of the audience and the time at which the cartoons are broadcast and i'm sure you'll no longer have to watch stuff like Ben10(which i did once a sunday morning and which almost caused me a cerebral attack).

I used to love watching cartoon network. But these days it doesn't have much to offer anymore. I don't like that it has mostly american cartoons, I can't get into those. I used to love watching those when I was little though. I still love the good ol' days on cartoon network, when cowboy bebop and outlaw star were on it. They were my favorite anime. I wish they brought them back.

I guess this depends on where you're located

But CN here in America will play mostly American made cartoons during normal programming and you have your Toonami and Adult Swim which plays both American made cartoons and anime (and not the best selections if I might add).

To be honest, the only time I've ever watched CN was when they started doing Adult Swim where they had a pretty good selection such as Cowboy Bebop but stopped watching when it started becoming stupid (haven't watch CN for about 5 years now).

But I can't blame CN themself, no no no, you also have to blame the licensors because CN and them would need to make a deal to show series on there channel. So if the contract says that CN can only play up to this amount of eps of a series, that's all they can play. Plus CN themself cannot just get permission for the "best" series that's doable without paying tons of money (which I doubt they'll do). Besides, if I watch anime, I must rather watch it with subs and not dubs.

Hmm..so CN america's Toonami and Adult swim aren't showing animes..

In our side, there was Gundam SEED and SEED destiny, Zoids, Battle B-Daman, Pokemon. They all started in Toonami but more recently they've moved to a different segment. Gundam SEED Destiny was on Adult Swim (The only anime in there) then the rest of my example are on primetime. What's left in Toonami now are Kamen Rider Blade and Power Rangers (SPD, Mystic Force, etc..)

Anyway, Adult Swim (not sure which CN) was showing Bleach right? When did it end?
