This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

I think the first or one of the firsts is like DBZ or Inuyasha. Then I started to want to watch more and more and stuff. I remember when I didn't even know what anime was, or how to spell it. Lol! So ya one of those old animes was probably my first or something like that.

I am very proud to say that my first anime was not DBZ, Inuyasha, or Sailor Moon. It was Iria: Zeiram the Animation. I saw it way back when on Sci-Fi's Saturday Anime block. There were a couple others I saw on there previously, as well (another which I really liked was one with cool cannon-equipped unicycles... Venus Wars?) Really, unlike DBZ, which got me back into anime, I still love Iria.

I don't know if pokemon counts as an anime but i've been watching that ever since I was in fourth grade... If it doesn't qualify as an anime that my first anime(s) would have to be Inuyasha and Rurouni Kenshin... Those two got me hooked.. then I discovered more and more animes and I slowly got even more addicted... Then I started buying more and more anim DVD's... Well yeah those were my first anime's.

Young and corrptable, I was a victim of the pokemon craze, though it was never considered anime at the time by most people here on the east coast since it had become mainstream. I guess the first one I watched with the knowledge of it being anime was yuyu hakusho

God, I must be pretty old hat hahaha, My first anime was the Macross Saga, ah back in the good old days. I think Pokemon would be regarded as Anime as its Japanese and its Animation but most Anime fans won't admit it. I just hope the world would get over such series and movie closer to other more interesting series.

Paladinblue - Venus Wars is the one your talking about, Unicycles with a bloody big Railgun, gotta love the good old classics! That Railgun smashed that 12 cannon battle tank in 3 shots!

DBZ or one of the one(s?) they showed on Cartoon Network, possibly Speed Racer. I know I used to have tapes of either the Chinese/Japanese versions of it.
