Yeah like I have said I have read the introduction from a site and am really interested in it however I don't know wheather the manga and anime have the same storyline etc. and which to go for I mean I am usally read the manga first and then watch the anime. Anyway what is your opinion on this series is it any good or not?
Unfortunately I haven't seen this series either, but I have only heard exceptional things about it. Interesting storyline and great music what more could you want from a series, apparently this series delivers that and more. Personally I'm waiting for the boxset :)

It was good overall ...i've seen the entire series, it might be a little confusing in the end
Or maybe i was confused. I won't ruin it by telling why but it was a good anime it was just a little bit of a let down for me...

I've watched this series up to episode 10 or 11 and stopped because I found the storyline rather boring and uninteresting and the characters were plain annoying. Personally, I think this series is one of those that's really hyped up but was just average at the very best.
Wolf's Rain is an amazing series! I have the mangas and love them to death, but have unfortunately only seen bits and pieces of the anime. I highly recommend the manga to you, though! The story line is a bit confusing for some time but turns out excellently.
Mmmmm... I say watch it AND read the manga, both are beautifully done. The Quality of production in all forms from the dvd transfer to how things are drawn is just beautiful. I will say this though, skip the fourth disc, it's like episodes 15-18, and its all review, you will not lose a thing if you skip it. Also, this is one of the few animes that are better dubbed than subbed, mostly because Darcia has the most beautiful voice in history but it is a really good dub.
P.S. On a personal note, Darcia is da shit, and is the best character of anything anywhere anytime. Not only in anime but literature, reality and anything else you can think of. In short, Darcia IS God.

Wolf's Rain is an exceptional anime with a bold an ambitious plotline. It may be a little too complicated for the younger audience, but overall a very well written series with a superb soundtrack by renouned Yoko Kanno.
Have you listen the Wolf's Rain's BO!
It is so beautiful!! I'm so nostalgic when i listen it... a beautiful BO for a Wonderful anime...

Well this is one of the 1st animes I have watched from the company "Bones." They are also responsible for the anime Rahxephon and others, just forgot what they were. I personally think this anime is quite unique in terms of story. No other anime so far has yet to come close to its unique plotline/characters. As well the animation is just superb and the colouring helps add to the effect of the tone of the show. Pick the show up and watch it, I was sure happy I did.
Its good. its kinda slow but its pretty cool. and theres a couple times when your like are they in human form or wolf form. sometimes its just weird but worth watching. not sure if its worth to pay for though

What I like the most is when they depicts the wolves in human forms, but still they have something that also depicts them as wolves. In this case there's an episode where Kiba and his friends were walking in a snowy field. You can see their shadows as humans, but the footprints they left behind are wolves'. That's a great way of showing that they're really wolves.

NamheartWell this is one of the 1st animes I have watched from the company "Bones." They are also responsible for the anime Rahxephon and others, just forgot what they were.
I know Bones did the Cowboy Bebop movie (Probably the series too) and FullMetal Alchemist.
Bones is eye candy, add to it Yoko Kanno's music and a great story, you got Wolf Rain (I do agree on skipping disc 4, just reshowing what already happened).
I watched Wolf's Rain for about <10 episodes and thought it was rather boring... I prefer Bleach or Naruto...
I haven't read the mange, but I saw the anime.
in my opinion I think this anime is a realy nice one.
like others have already said, there are 4 episodes that you should skip, they are showing you what happened in the first episodes, and they all look the same (at least to me)
if you are going to see the anime, you must see the OVA after that, because the OVA end it better, the animes' end, isn't realy an end.
I think you should watch it, I like that anime.
It will probebly take you time to get used that in their human form they are still have the wolf form at the same time.
as mvthdrannor already said, darcia is a cool character (even that I started to hate him in the OVE)

SPOILER (click to view)
I watched this series last year, and fell head over heels in love with it.
i love everything about it; the soundtrack, the animation, the characters (darcia is god to some, but i think he's big piece of shit), the storyline. everything except the ending.
probably because the ending wasn't what i'd hope it'd be and i'm the type that roots for happily-ever-afters.
not that this isn't a happily ever after, it's more complex and has a deeper meaning. and very confusing.
the characters are not exactly the cute and loveable kind but there's something about them that draws you nearer to find out more. also, the storyline has a serious note, and there's few laughs in between. it's quite realistic as fights are punctuated by blood and bites and scratches really look like they hurt.
i find the storyline rather unique and different from most.
the concept of wolves able to take the semblence of human form is interesting, in the sense that, while they may seem human to other humans, they are unmistakeably wolves.
the soundtrack is just beautiful. i love the music of the show, and all the songs. the ending, gravity, is something to look out for.
the animation is aslo good, smooth and easy on the eyes. :)
i just love this show.
