I would say the one that's fresh in my head -- ELFEN LIED. Wonderful anime, beautiful art. The most moving was with Mariko.

When Mariko finally meets her daddy Kuruma and he points the gun at her. Then, instead of killing him with her numerous vectors, she starts crying and saying things like, "Ever since I've been in that room (or box) I've always dreamed of the day where you would say "Come out, Mariko" and you and Mommy would be out there waiting for me." (AND KEEP IN MIND that her mother died protecting her.) Then she starts saying things like "Why did you let me live if you knew I was going to suffer like this?" ] (THAT WAS SO SAD! !) Then, Kuruma hugs Mariko and tells her that each day since she was born he had always thought about her... Then, before you know what happens, he tells her that her mother and him loved her very much.

The way it ended for both of them kind of made sense and was complete. It was such a BRILLIANT anime! They better release the manga translated in ENGLISH! I'm so surprised that they haven't done that yet.

In addition to that is the ever lovable FRUITS BASKET.

Misuzu Kamio's death scene. OMG, when Misuzu knew she was going to die, so she used the last of her strength to get off, off her WHEELCHAIR and walk towards her mother. While walking towards her mother she was telling her how its okay for her to die and that she had a life time of happiness in one summer OMG. Because Misuzu was a decendent of a winged-being who was cursed never to love otherwise she would suffer immense pain and die. Thus, she had no friends and would live in solitude. Anyway, she finally reaches her mother and her last dying words were saying thank you to her mother (because it was her mother who was her friend from the beginning and took her away from a life of eternal loneliness and sadness, Yukito helped Misuzu out too but he was already gone sort of). Then she dies in her mother's arms. OMG, I must've watched this scene at least 100 times. After watching this series I was depressed for weeks.

The Air movie had the same sort of scene as the one described above but this one line Misuzu said really hurt. (The movie came out after the series, so we knew what was going to happen to Misuzu)

Misuzu was talking to Yukito saying how she buried some pictures of her real mother and that she was going to dig them up when she was 20. Then he asked why are you digging them up now. Then she replied, "Because things change." Meaning, she knew that she was going to die and never see the age of 20 (sniff).

For Full Moon wo Sagashite, this series had one of the best endings I've ever seen in my life. It was sooo beautiful.

After Mitsuki's operation, she still couldn't speak. Then when Meroko finds Mitsuki and is luring her to Takuto (who's been given a second chance at life) and she's trying to shout Meroko's name but she can't because her voice is too weak. Then Mitsuki sees Takuto and runs over to him and trips, while he's walking away. Then she SHOUTS his name with all her strength and he notices her and turns around, but he doesn't remember anything. Then Meroko kisses Mitsuki (Mitsuki couldn't see Meroko at this before), and Mitsuki notices Meroko and she shouts Meroko's name and thanks her. Then Takuto catches one of Meroko's feathers (Meroko became an angel) and then suddenly remembers everything, and the series ends.

Fruits basket was sad! and onegai teacher, naruto and so many more!! XD IN fruits basket it was sad how tohru went to see akito and all of the sohma's past!! T__T soo sad!! and in onegai teacher how the characters try to be with one another but cant and how they find new luv!! naruto is basically to me how each character has a past that can be so sad cause of all the loneliness and all!! T^T

Fruits Basket - Cried at the ending where Tohru hugs the monster kyo. and the part where the doctor's girlfriend has to lose her memory and he has to live with it.

Gundam Seed - I cried at the last scene after the fighting was over and kira, athrun and cagalli were crying w/ the sad ending song.

Chobits - the part where yumi shows her problem and where she and the cake guy got together again.

Eva - where Asuka got eaten by the MP Eva's. Dont know why, I hated her but then after seeing what happened to her in the past i kinda sympathized her then she ends up dying.

I guess thats it for now! I'll post again once i recall what other anime i cried on.

It's a whole sad story from the first episode to the last. So many sad, romantic, and touching scenes and Chise, the main female character, cried in almost every episode that I couldn'tt help myself but to cry with her. I some time even felt down after watching it.

Other animes could be Air, Kenshin, Love Hina, Mai Hime & Mai Otome(starting to cry), Da Capo (I don't cry for DC.SS.), Gundam Seed (I don't cry for GS Destiny).

One last anime, Mahoraba Heartful Day, which is actualy a comedy and "heartful" anime, but when I had to cry, it was like I pure water out of my eyes. Cry with happiness. ^^"

The reason why most of these series caused tears to flow out of my eyes is because someone died in the saddest way possible in the each of the series. With the saddest music possible, a character crying so much that it looks like a small river flowing out of his/her eyes, and a dead character, I can't help but cry! It's just so sad. In the end, I laugh at myself for getting over-dramatic on something that isn't even real. But sometimes, I get depressed anyway because it's so sad!!! But that's what makes a series so great, it's so emotional that it affects me as well, and that's what I love about anime. ^_^

no matter what she overcame before the end, just seeing misuzu go through that much pain and sufferring was so sad. The end on the beach with Aozora playing in the background set the mood perfectly. I can't listen to that song without thinking of the ending of Air... then i want to cry, lol.

Even though they hadn't been together very long, seeing them together was so warm and loving that seeing haruka in the accident was incredibly sad. Then to wake up 3 years later with no realization of how long ago the accident was, and when you do, find that the one you love is lost to you... It made me sad thinking of what haruka went through because of takayuki

I'm quite the cry baby when it somes to anime, doesnt take much for me, there are scenes in just about everything i watch that get me teary eyed.

I mean, who wouldn't cry at the end when Mizuzu died, especially since she smile as she died. Michuru's disappearance scene was pretty sad too.

Im quite the sucker for such animes that make you wanna go "awww," cry or just feel really sad. So far there have a been a few to make me do such a thing.

1. Onegai Teacher
By far (to me personally) was the one where I wanted the cry the most cause of such a sweet ending. Through all that pain came great happiness

2. Love Hina
Its an older anime, but who says it can't make you feel the same way new animes do

3. Mai Hime
The death of loved ones is always sad, but Mai Hime sure made the nail strike home.

Full Metal Alchemist, both when Hughes died and the second-to-last episode (I think we all know which one).

Full Moon Wo Sagashite, just so many tissues I need throughout that anime. Everytime I noticed we were about to go into a Shinigame flash back, I have to go get a new box of Kleenex.

Dragonball Z: Vegeta's death against Freezer, and before he died, he was begging Goku to avenge the Sayajin Race. I'll never forget that moment. That was a moment that I cried the first time while wathing an Anime...

One Piece: Nami's Past. Arlong surpressing Nami's home Island and killing her foster Mother. I nearly cried on that one, but jusst almost...

Recently, it was AIR. i'm still emotionally stricken until now since i completed the series just 2 weeks ago.

the second quarter part was already gloomy. starting with kano's background story. then with minagi having a mentally-ill mother. then michiru's farewell. it gets too sad when yuukito transformed to a crow. that where it got very emotional. you will realize that haruka actually cared so much about misuzu, treating her like a real daughter after all that. then the finishing blow: misuzu's suffering and death...

elfen lied was also sad too.

what made me sad the most in this anime was the last moment of kouta and lucy together as they rebuke each other of their past, telling lucy that she will never be forgiven and yet she is still loved... very romantic yet sad

kimi ga nozomu eien was even sadder. i wouldn't put that in a spoiler tag since all the scenes were miserable and really sad. especially mitsuki's scenes.

Grave of the Fireflies, most definitely.
The whole movie was sad, and the ending most of all! I nearly bawled.
