This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

I LOVE Outlaw Star. One of my favorites. I really don't know why it gets no love. It has a good storyline, good animation, good action scenes... Maybe people have just not disovered it yet. Perhaps it was missed years ago on Cartoon Network, b/c anime had not yet become the cult phenomenom it is now. They should really show it again. I am tired of Cowboy Bebop reruns, they can kick it, they are running it into the ground. They can also get rid of One Piece, the dubs make me cringe.

Ah yes. Outlaw Star....it is indeed an awesome anime. I have to admit that I wasn't highly impressed with it on CN even though their dubbing was actually decent. I think it had something to do with missing episodes in between. When I finally got around to watching the whole thing subbed, I loved it. I definitely agree with mightybalthazar to say that it has great plot, character development, animation, and just good period.

I love the intro and ending songs to that series as well.

Outlaw star was one of the few cartoons on CN that actually kicked ass...I remember rushing home from school to catch that show, it didnt matter what came before it unless it was Kenshin but I think that came after.

Outlaw star. That was a really great anime. I watched it on tv where it had been 'Dubbed' and i still enjoyed it. I think that the characters had a good interaction and were well portrayed.
I thought Gene and Jim were a good, and not to mention interesting, pair up. Heck all the characters got my attention and i really enjoyed the interaction. There's not much for me to say other than that. Oh yeh loved Gene's gun, the caster, it was a really interesting weapon and i wonder how the creators came up with the idea? heh that's a question to ponder over.

I prefer Outlaw Star to Gundam, but I am not a big Gundam fan; though, 08th MS Team wasn't bad. The fates must have been with you when you blindly grabbed OS.

Outlaw Star is definitely an underrated anime. The show is a lot of fun.

Has anyone watched Angel Links? It takes place in the same universe as Outlaw Star. I didn't like it nearly as much but if your a big fan of Outlaw Star I'd say it's worth the watch (only 16 eps I think)

I'm a great fan of Gundam. I prefer Outlaw Star over Wing. What does that say to you? Great mechs and guys to drool over, poor storyline and character development. And chances are, you will hate and find the leading female character annoying and obsesive. The leading male is a robot.

For me, Outlaw Star and Gundam aren't really comparible animes. Gundam is a Mecha anime while Outlaw Star is like a weird space western. There are no mechas in Outlaw Star (unless you want to consider the ship a mecha...which I don't)

Outlaw Star was simply a fantastic show. It was a delicious action-comedy-spacer smoothie. It was episodic, in that nothing _really_ happens until the last three episodes, but lots of the fun of that show was the mercenary levels of fun and amusing interactions between the characters. And oh man, the characters. Aisha Clan-Clan is still my favorite character out of all the shows I've seen. Everyone should get the DVD's, as they're really cheap (40/50 bucks @ Amazon). This site needs some OS walls - there's plenty of talent to do it.
