This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

wich is better outlaw star or gundam wing? for you because when I was at the store I had botht collections and couldnt decide I grabed one with my eyes closed and it was outlaw star im happy with what I got im going to get gundam wing another time.

I prefer Outlaw Star to Gundam, but I am not a big Gundam fan; though, 08th MS Team wasn't bad. The fates must have been with you when you blindly grabbed OS.

I have gundam 08th MS team :)

Outlaw Star was simply a fantastic show. It was a delicious action-comedy-spacer smoothie. It was episodic, in that nothing _really_ happens until the last three episodes, but lots of the fun of that show was the mercenary levels of fun and amusing interactions between the characters. And oh man, the characters. Aisha Clan-Clan is still my favorite character out of all the shows I've seen. Everyone should get the DVD's, as they're really cheap (40/50 bucks @ Amazon). This site needs some OS walls - there's plenty of talent to do it.

yeah I also think somebody should post an outlaw star wallpaper

Personally I loved Outlaw Star...Especially the beginning. I don't think the first episode of an anime has ever grabbed me and held on like this series did. The action is great. The space exploration is great. The adventures are great and humorous at times. Granted it does go down a bit in quality at the end but overall it is still a very great anime.

I think a reason why it is not as well received or known is because it debuted along with two other huge animes in 1998. Those of course were Cowboy Bebop & Trigun. They kind of stole the show in my opinion (and rightfully so...they are great animes)...but Outlaw star is in most cases just as good as them.

Outlaw Star was a neat little anime for me. Had an interesting back drop of futuristic living with settings that were inspired by old cultures. When I saw the anime I immediately thought it was similar to Cowboy Bebop. I think it's CB's sempai. =) As a spin off story to the Slayers franchaise, I prefer Slayers, but the story and characters were fairly entertaining till the end.

One of the first animes I watched when I started to get into anime pretty heavy! I liked the show but it has been such a long time since I saw it so the details are fuzzy, plus as young as I was I am sure I would look differently at the series (from a more mature stance with a higher comprehension rate now). From what I do remember I really enjoyed Gene Starwind (well mainly his GUN!), Suzuka was cool and Aisha Clanclan. The story line was kind of predictable (the elements, not exact plot) but still over all a good watch.

I hadn't watched it for years, but last summer I went ahead and rented it from Netflix. I enjoyed it just as much as the first time, and probably more. It was nice getting to watch it subbed.

I'm currently a third of the way through Outlaw Star. I have to say, it hasn't grabbed and held my attention the way Trigun had by this point in the series... I can't really see where the story is going, and the whole galactic leyline seems a little abstract for me. But I really like the characters, and both the OP and ED so far have been great. I expect I'll be back in here with some proper opinions once I've finished watching! ^_^

I love Outlaw Star. It has a good plot and it kept me guessing what was going to happen. There is some love in it, but you have to read between the lines to get it. I thought the end should have had more love in it, or a second season. All the characters in it were unique and great. Gene and Melfina were my favorite though.

All I can say is that OS is one of my favorite underrated animes. Too bad it wasn't well known oh wellz. The characters were great especially Melfina, Twlight Suzuka and Jim XD. The comedy was just funny as hell especially between Jim and Gene. I just hope there would be another season in the near future. Anywayz great anime

Outlaw Star is my favorite anime. I borrowed the tape a friend of mine recorded off of CN when I watched it the first time, I bought it all on dvd a few months after that. I love the characters, they all have a certain aura of badass-ness, lol. The animation isn't the greatest but the storyline more than makes up for it. The action scenes are great too, flying around blowing stuff up.
