This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

Here is original vector work done in adobe photoshop 7.0 titled "The Painter". This is one of my favorite works. I even bought it from my DA account in print form, and it hangs on my wall. (If anyone wants it as a print, you can notify me) This was made on December 3, 2006. A bit old, but I'd like to share it and hear others opinions :) Thanks!

That is very expressive; I adore it! I love the smooth yet angular style the most. =)

My only gripe is that her right hand is oddly disproportionate due to the missing pinky and elongated index.

Beautiful color style thing (uh...)! I love the dress being "outside" and the river coming from the bottle/tube/things-that-hold-paint. And the paint from the paintbrush is cool! They're actually all the same tone! Do you know Chinese? I'm just wondering what the last word was again, lol... and I thought that the 3rd word normally comes before the "peace"... then again... I'm no good at Chinese...

Mm... I really like the idea of the paint pouring onto her dress and making a picture.. very original :D

I'm not really sure about the words though... they say "ai4 ping2 he2 xing4" in chinese, but I don't think it's an actual sensible phrase .. although it may be in japanese, I dunno.

luna: the last word is the word that appears in "xing4 fu2" and means good fortune/joy or something like that but.. hmm ... ai = love, ping = peace, he = gentle/harmonious though it usually comes before ping like you said.. I'm guessing it's just a listing of words dealing with peace, harmony, love, and joy etc.

anyway, nice work with the textures and colors, and whole piece overall :)
