So I just got done watching this new movie and i have to say it is phenomenal! I was skeptical at first because a lot of anime that has come out recently has not been up to par. But this movie was fantastic. Definitely something worth watching, it had all the makings of a great anime. I don't want to hype it up too much, because someone out there may not feel the same way I did. But, let me get some feedback. What do all of you other avid anime watchers thing? A+ ? 
Isn't it just a remake of the first part of the series?
Teh first one is a redo of the first few episodes with some differnt stuff
overall it was very good i enoyed it allot
finally as i must say everytime the rebuild is brought up...ramial is shiny...and a badass

The designs and animation looks like youre watching PLATINUM EDITION, even in the first fight, the angles are the same. But the fight against that cubic blue thing was pure win.

Its a remake of the first part of the series but with new stuff. But I want to see what are the new things they added.

The problem with the Rebuild is that I cannot tell if I liked it solely do to my loyalty to Rei Ayanami and Evangelion. If I had never heard of Evangelion before would I have liked the Rebuild? I have no idea.
Evangelion was the second Anime series I watched and being so new to anime I was totally blown away by it. But now having seen the likes of Last Exile, FMP? FUMOFFU, Air Gear, Haruhi Suzumiya and Code Geass... I don't know... Evangelion doesn't seem so epic as I remember it being.
Same with the Rebuild; I liked it, but since I remember liking Evangelion so much I should of liked the Rebuild more---I think. Nah, I'm probably thinking about this too much. LOL. Rei will always be Rei and Reizboy will always be Rei's boy. Except Reizboy like Yuki Nagato more now. LOL.

That is why its CALLES evangelion RE-BUILD!
I saw it too and its pretty awesome! THe best thing about the movie, is that if wait until the end, you find out that NEW EVA's will be shown and besides a new totally new character!
We only have to wait 1 more year

Totally new character? I didn't hear anything about that. Is it going to be another sexy lady of evangelion? God, I'm salivating at the mouth just thinking of it, LOL. I'm the biggest eva fan out there. I really love that anime, and this rebuild of evangelion is priceless. especially the fight with the last angel ( fortress angel ).

The CG were brilliant, especially the 4th angel (the shapeshifting one). The overall animation quality was excellent too.
