This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

@Marvella: Weird parents you got there

~MarceLLa 17 minutes ago
I threw a water bottle at my sis coz she threw my mp3. Before that she hit my arm yet my parents said nothing. And when she threw the mp3 they said nothing. I cried (fake but convincing) when she threw it. But when I threw the bottle they exploded.

What type of music does everyone like here? Favorite bands? Gone to any good concerts lately?

Personally I like metal, nu-metal, punk, and some ska. Those are my major genres that i like. I also like listening to random stuff like jam bands and music from final fantasy. My fave bands are avenged sevenfold and rancid. I've been to a bunch of concerts this year, but recently i saw avenged sevenfold live (amazing). Well i'm done blabbing. Let me see what everyone here likes!

Well I'll listen to alot of stuff as long as its a good song. But I don't listen to country ever, cuz its never good. Anyway, My favorit band is Linkin Park. So I like diversity in music, which they have. I guess I mainly listen to Rock, Metal, and Punk sometimes, but I like Rap and stuff like that too. I don't know, I'll listen to anything if it sounds good, classical, trance, jazz, whatever.

That's cool crono. I'll pretty much listen to anything except for techno, country, and majority of rap.

Wish some other people would join in and post!

I listen mainly to metal (mostly power metal).

Recently i've been listening to Ayreon - Universal Migrator part 1 and 2 a lot.
I've also been listening to Bathory, Freedom Call, Manticora, Sonata Arctica, Dark Moor + some other stuff quite a lot.

I don't think I have any one particular favourite band.

I like pretty much any type of music except: opera, country, metal, and hardcore rap.

I like a lot of j-pop, eurodance, and trance. I'm also sort of a sucker for pop-punk. (I know, I know!) I admittedly like a lot of crap, but at least I can recognise that it *is* crap. (Catchy crap, but still...)

The last show (wasn't really a concert) I went to was They Might Be Giants, who are kinda funny.

Also, and please don't laugh, one of my good (guy!) friends dragged me to an Avril Lavigne concert when she was here, because he wanted to go but didn't want to go by himself.

I listen to a variety of music, new, old, slow, fast, etc. I have respect for all music, whether or not I consider it music <!--emo&^_^--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/happy.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='happy.gif' /><!--endemo-->. If I HAD to categorize most of the music I listen to, I guess it would be rock, alternative and punk. I don't feel much like listing the singers/bands/groups I listen to the most (lazy). I also enjoy my "oldies" XD.

I listen to a lot of lounge/groove type music, like Zero 7, Unkle, and Bjork. I used to listen to a lot of rock/alternative, but kinda grew out of it, though I love Incubus, Radiohead, Perfect Circle, and older stuff from Smashing Pumpkins, Tool, and NIN. Can't forget R&B either, gotta love soulful stuff too as well as hip-hop On the foreign side, I like j-pop, especially Misia, Bird, Hikki, Sowelu, Crystal Kay, and Ayumi mixes. Also, I love brazillian jazz, like from Bebel Gilberto. Can't forget my latin roots either lol. I listen to just about anything, cept for most country and the trendy emo/punk crap that's on radio these days lol. <!--emo&--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='laugh.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Basically I like all forms of J-anime/pop. <!--emo&--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='laugh.gif' /><!--endemo--> Japanese anime music is just so good. It's so varied and sweet; you can never get enough of it. I'm also extremely into heavy trance. As a matter of fact, I write music once in a while, and they're mostly techno or trance.

I personally like soothing musics more
e.g., Someday's Dreamers OSTs or Zelda the Wind Waker ost
those kind of musics (in fact I am listening to it now <!--emo&:D--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->)
also some Jazz or Piano and orchestrated arrangement too

I like Joe Hisaishi and Yoko Kanon's musics.. they are great and suit my taste <!--emo&:P--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tongue.gif' /><!--endemo-->

I love their compositions. Can't forgot Yasunori Mitsuda and Nobou Uematsu (I'm going to the FF concert next month!) and Kenji Kawai--especially the theme from Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence, "Follow Me". What an awesome track!

I've always liked JPop but my tastes have changed.. I used to not be so picky and listen to all sorts of stuff.. now I only like female vocalists <!--emo&:P--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tongue.gif' /><!--endemo--> and prefer acoustic and instrumental stuff like Kokia, Yuki Kajiura but still listen to the standard pop and dance as well ¬_¬ As for non-Japanese music I like some of the Linkin Park stuff and more of the acoustic female vocals as well..
