Would You Buy Designer Clothe?
I'm talking about world famous brands, like a Hermes Birkin or Kelly bag that costs around $10000 usually, if not more. Or a more afforable bag like Valentino's bag. Or do you just stick with the good old Guess, Michael Kors and Coach?
I don't think that having a few LV bags and a pair of Rock and Republic or Seven jeans can make you a 'designer' person. I think that to be able to afford brands like Hermes, Valentino, Vera Wang, Giorgio Armani, YSL and Giambattista Valli is called designer.
Or do you think that they're not worth it?

No way. I just stick to whatever looks good. $5 hoodies are always fantastic =3
I don't usually buy that kind of stuff. You can find me in Old Navy, New York and Co., Hot Topic or Kohl's. Although, I'll say I'd love to wear a Vera Wang dress when I get married (haha yeah right).
The only piece of 'designer" anything I own is 2 tokidoki purses, but thats because I love his art and want to support him. It's got nothing to do with it being designer. Spending the crazy cash on clothes just because it says some famous designers name on it is not for me.
And personally, I don't really get it.

I never buy designer clothes it's just not worth it when you can get just as clothes just as good for £10 rather than the £100+ they want. It's just not worth it.
I just don't get it wearing designer clothes doesn't make you look any better than if you were wearing normal clothes. So why bother with them.

All a matter of perspective and economic well-being madam. Where you would ridicule those with the resources to purchase extravagantly overpriced pieces of apparel/accessories for no reason other than the items being far overpriced, others far below you in the economic ladder in financial destitution would ridicule you for even considering purchasing clothing from the likes of Hot Topic or Old Navy, when the money could be better spent at Good Will.

For me, I wouldn't be able to afford designer clothes and cheap clothes sometimes look just as good. Outlet stores FTW! thats where i like to shop haha. everything is so cheap.
HELL YES! I'm not saying EVERYTHING I wear has to be well known designer fashion houses but I like certain brands especially Burberry and Chanel and I don't mind spending daddy's money on whatever I want.
Well for me, it's not all about the brand.
If there are cheaper and good looking alternatives available, the of course I'll buy cheaper ones.
After all, it's about the looks, not the brand for me ;)

I think brand names are absolutely ridiculous. No one should want to pay hundreds of dollars just to advertise a company's logo to look stylish. I think this business is rather corrupt in the sense that most of the 'knock-offs' are made in the exact same factory as their overpriced counterparts.
I don't quite see the point in wanting to buy these brands. My only guess as to why someone would want to wear a brand name is to prove a point of some sort, be it their wealth, social status, fashion 'expertise', etc.
I scoff at the fact that simply because something is made by a designer it should be coveted. Commercialism at it's finest, really.
/rant XD

Well... it depends actually. Normally I hate spending more than I really need but sometimes you feel the need to pamper yourself; to indulge. I admit I do own a few designer items but they're like 10% of my closet. Most are no-name brands but are good enough for everyday use.

That is SO not true. I don't but designer merchandise to do any of those things you mentioned. I shop where I want cause I like to and for no other reason. Just because something is from a designer fashion house doesn't mean I'm going to spend my money on it; that would just be stupid!

fame designer maybe look cool and up to date but if you think about the price tag you may think of it as a waste of money don't you think

well think of this buying this fame think for how long they usually make more because they up dated the design of their own and our clothes that already bought is useless any more isn't right
so for me I guess that just waste lots lots of money just to but some clothes for me buy some important thing for life that's what matter

I buy stuffs depend on the style and the quality. Prices are also in consideration, by the way. Famous brand names are not always the best clothes for nowadays trends. Even some brands that we're unfamiliar of could be really great!
Seriously, i can't understand why people are abusing their 'trendy' stuffs and spend lots of money for a bunch of shoes that look almost identical...

I don't think much about designer clothes. In my opinion they are much too pricey so for me they aren't really a possibility. But that does not mean that I only buy the cheapest clothes because sometimes these clothes are made from children and I don't want to encourage child labour.
By the way I think that sometimes designer clothes are not that beautiful as you think they have to be because of the prices. Clothes with normal prices are most of the time as beautiful as the designer ones. Sometimes you don't see any difference between the expenisve one and the cheaper one.
I don't see any sense in buying clothes which cost lots and lots of money instead of things which are really important for life.
