Jeanne D'Arc (PSP SRPG)
1 Page: [ 1 ]
My new PSP "Slim' only arrived a few days ago and after going through the system set-up for a few minutes, I quickly opened up Jeanne D'Arc (never worked with these discs before, so I was a little careful) and fired up the game. Well...
..Holy cow! After beginning a 'New Game' the screen transformed into a lengthy and entertaining anime intro. and once the actual character and background screens came up, I was gratified to see colorful, eye-pleasing graphics in-game. As the protagonists speak, detailed anime-inspired portraits outline the dialogue box and it all looks great. Jeanne, herself, seems like an interesting character right off-the-bat and I look forward to seeing what's going to unfold (I've heard nothing but praise for the game in regards to both the game play and the story). Jeanne, then, is quickly thrown into a short tutorial battle and it's off to the races. If you're familiar with SRPG's then the controls will feel very natural and having played a few in my day I was able to jump right in. No one should have any problem as Level-5 is a very user friendly developer. The battle interface was intuitive and that first tutorial level was fun right out of the chute. That's all I could play the first night, unfortunately. Work the next day.
But last night I was able to play for about an hour, and about 6 levels in I'm having to force myself to put it down. So, I highly recommend it to any SRPG fans out there to say the least. If you're planning to pick up Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions (PSP; mine should be arriving this weekend!) and you enjoy good, solid RPG games then I hope you'll consider picking this up as well. You can't lose for trying.
Has anyone else here picked it up? Any plans to?

All the reviews I've seen for this game say it's fantastic and awesome. I think the main reason I haven't picked it up yet is because apparently I don't have the patience to play through strategy games atm. ^^' Though Level-5 is amazing (I'm a huuuge Dark Cloud fangirl, especially DC2) and it might be enough to get me to start playing the genre again.
Jeanne sounds like a character full of love and win and characters have sold me games so many times before...not literally. :B I definately want this even more now...thanks for the summary.

_It has been a while since i played a good RPG . The voice of the game is really good , you can compared this to Vakyrie profile . The system sastified me with the unified guard and burning aura . And the critical point of the game is the transform mode , which allow some members of the party have the incredibly strenth . I like this one .
I have the game, haven't play it much though since I don't have enough time. It's a great game though, another one of Level 5's masterpieces ![( []-[])9 emoticon ( []-[])9 emoticon](http://static3.animepaper.net/images/emo/specky.gif)

I have my PSP 1000, and ASAP as I can I'll buy my PSP SLIM and definitely I'm getting this game, I've heard too many good comments about this game, even the IGN gave it a good grade. I'm also waiting for the Crisis core american version to arrive!

Yeah Jean D Arc was a good game if your into SRPG don't think about just get it. The only thing you can argue as a fault compared to the other big SRPG coming out is, it has little replay value compared to the Final Fantasy Tactics and Disgaea.
I have this game, but havnt really tried it yet...still busy playing disgaea XD! Hopefully its good as everyone said it is

It's the first RPG game I play on PSP, and i really enjoy it!
The Jewel Combination is really interesting, each time I play, inevitably i will spend a large part of time to try any possibility of combination over and over again
PS:the action when the frog "chew" the jewels is very funny
