Real "Death notes"
A murder that resembles one from the Death Note anime and manga. Weird, right?

Ya its weird, and how came it resembles to the death note.
Gosh how scary. And to think that someone who did it, was a death note (anime) fan... one of us... *shivers*. In the article it says it might be a practical joke by medical students but I highly doubt that. Why would they spell it wrong? They're highly educated people, I'm quite sure if they did do it then they would have at least checked for the spelling. But of course they have on the other hand another case <- It might be a psychopathic serial killer.
very weird
I've read that, it really disturbed me. Not just because they misspelled desu, either! Since it's unsolved, someone else could die. I like Death Note fine, but that's taking it way too far.
I really hope it's just a practical joke like they said, but if it is just a stupid prank then I've got to wonder - who did they think would understand the joke? I mean, what are the chances someone walking by would know what Death Note was?
Whoever did this is certainly getting a lot of attention from anime fans, I've seen this posted a lot. Maybe that's just what they wanted...

Sounds like a wannabe thing, yes. XD
Of course, we can't really be sure...Maybe if it was indeed a murder instead of a practical joke, the murderer was mentally disturbed. I mean, say it was really a murder. Why try drawing so much media attention to yourself? -.-;;

Wow. Thanks whoever for bringing a bad name to Death Note. I hope they don't ban Death Note in attempt to stop the repeat of this. NEVER!
Thats really creepy. There is such strange people out there today its horrible. If they actually got this from the anime then, talk about no life.

Well it sounds more like a practical joke then a serial killer thing to me. The fact that the victim is unidentified, shaved and "fresh" kinda rules out foul play. If it were a victim, someone would have reported a disappearance by now.
Also, if some dude thinks he's KIRA.. he wouldn't stop with this one time.

I think it's rather sad when people take fiction to that extreme; it has a nasty habit of misrepresenting fandom and presenting us in a light that is definately not true-to-life.

I think i'm more disturbed with people here who finds it cool. Whether it's a serial killing, or just a practical joke isn't the important thing right now. I'm worried as to how far people are drawn into a fictitious world like Death Note. It's probably more worrisome if it was a murder inspired by the anime, but I find it equally disturbing if it's medical students playing such a prank. I mean the dead should be treated with more respect than this, shouldn't they?
