FPS that have no story line are pathetic attention grabbers. This is not the case with bioshock. The game has a progressive story line and you feel like you are in a mystery horror. The twist in the game was well played. A great feeling is you think this game is about to end and then bam your not even close to finishing. Good thing is it is NOT SHORT like most of the next gem fps seem to be and not worth 60 bucks.
Well, I think that this game has EXCELLENT storyline! It just immerse the players into a whole new environment which is very needed for fresh gaming experience nowadays. It may even fit to be brought into the movie screens!
And for the nightmare part...Yeah well, I got it for the first few times playing but now I just feel like the splicers are a bunch of bunnies and I'm throwing carrots at them!Haha!
Overall, this game worth every penny I spent on! One of the FPS classics!

Yeah, fantastic graphics (IF you have a good enough card), compeling story line (kinda feels ripped of LOST a bit though, thats my opinion) great gameplay, and perfect atmosphere. If you havent played it yet, you need to (If you PC can handle it :)
Bioshock is fresh. And that's what the First Person Shooter genre needed, badly. So much is thought of games like Halo - Halo 3, but I mean honestly how much different are these games in each new release? I think what saves them is the online play. I love Bioshock, and could play it endlessly. I love the fact that the game play is altered by the player themselves. Weapons upgrades, following different fates, so to speak allows the player to choose their own destiny if you will. An instant classic.
I have to admit I've only played the demo and loved what I played. And judging by most peoples comments here, I'm definatly going to have to go buy it, everything about it was great ( in the demo anyways XD) I loved the creepyness to it and how the action and FPS was done. They did a good job, can't wait to get my hands on the full version now XD

Its a great game but ultimately what stops it being a classic is because the shooting gameplay is just not up to standard. None of the guns feel accurate or powerful enough to do enough damage to an enemy that seems to get stronger and stronger as you do. Only when combined with the more inventive, but still underpowered plasmids does any satisfaction come from the fps part of bioshock.
I've never actually played, but I watched my friend play all the way through it. I never got board watching because the plot very captivating and it was fun yelling at my friend "You know there's a pissed off big daddy behind you right -WHAM"

I played Bioshock and completed it on the same day as purchase. It was a fun game but it was way to easy on easy. When placed on normal it was much more fun as you had to think out situations. The only thing I had a problem with was that splicers became inrealistcally tough towards the end. A unarmoured human target would not live from a point blank range shot from a shotgun.

I played BIOSHOCK and i didn't like it.
It's not scarry at all......i think it's more funny than scarry.
BTW: i heard there are two endings is that true?

Bioshock is decent, but not the 10/10, GOTY title it is said to be. The graphics are superb, the sound is good, and the gameplay is fairly solid. I only played the demo, but it is way too easy, considering there are basically no consequences if the main character dies.
Yes, depending on how you play the game, you get two endings. If you don't kill and Little Sisters, you get the "good" ending.
Now if you have no sympathy or kills anything that moves, you get the "bad" ending.
