Heaven and Hell
I do believe in heaven and hell.
I have a book in my house that tells about someone's trip to hell.
And it's really really bad.
When the first time I finished that book, I felt like I'm going to hell > < It's really scary.
So I believe that we have to do good things in our life, to make sure that one day there will be only one destination for us,
and I really hope that is heaven, not hell.

I do beleive in heaven and hell, and i gues it depends on how you live your life and how do you see it and how do you see the world around you, basiclly it's up to you
I believe in it i.i Maybe 'cause my parents believe in it, and the way they raised me made I believe i.i don't know x3 Anyway, I'm afraid to go to hell xD I read a book last year about it, and it's really horrible there i_i But I don't know how heaven is... I think it will be boring to play harp all eternity long xD But it's better to be boring than painful i_i
Neither heaven nor hell exist, to me one who cannot accept that is but a child.

I believe in the heaven and hell
I do not believe in hell nor heaven. When you die you will only remain in one place. Inside people's memorie.
I do believe in heaven and hell. Purgatory, too.
Well... here is something I don't believe in heaven or hell... in fact i don't even believe in God himself... I mean... no one never came back from there to tell us it exists, so I prefer to not believe, it's easy for me.
Heaven and hell were created by the old Greek government to affect people's hearts, and make them believe that they will go to heaven if they will be good people. I am rather surprised by both your lack of knowledge and common sense...
I believe in heaven and hell.
I can't imagine that everything is over after death...

KazeyumiI do believe in heaven and hell. Purgatory, too.
Sorry to break your bubble, but the Catholic Church has abolished the belief of Purgatory ever since the late Pope John Paul II.
And unless 'ol Ratzinger abolishes both extremes too, then I'll stop believing in both.
Sounds like our thread starter had their first taste of Dante's Inferno...Such a great piece of literature.
No, I don't believe in hell, I'm not quite sure if I believe in heavan. In fact, I don't know which of the three ideas scares me more: eternal nothingness, if neither of them exist; eternal pain and torture, if hell exists; or an enternity of worship and purity of thought and body if heavan exsists.
What I like to think is kind of like what Piers Anthony described in On A Pale Horse...If you truly believe that there is nothing waiting for you in the afterlife then your soul and spirit will desintegrate and you will truly die. If you have a greater sprituality beyond that, then that is what you will experience. I beleive that my soul will continue to be reincarnated, and search out my one true love each and every time because that is what I want it to do. But this is an ideal, and an ideal I have a hard time grasping because the more pragmatic side of my brain tells me to believe the more scientific explanations...Hopefully before I die I'll learn to get over that so I can take advantage of what my last moments of conciousness will be like...
You should all see Waking Life. It brings up an interesting point: How time when you dream goes by much more quickly then time in the real world, and therefore you can have essentially hours and hours of dreamtime in only a few minutes of "real-time" Now, scientists have determined that there are 5-6 seconds of brain activity that continue after your body actually dies, which is, essentially, dreamtime...which you could possibly percieve as an infitinite time, or even your entire afterlife. It would explain all the experiences people in the OR have, claiming to have seen a glimpse of what was to come when they were so close to dying. In reality what they were seeing were the last fleeting charges coursing through their brain.
So, in conclusion, you can make it whatever you want.

I'm not at all religious, so no. Proof first, belief after.
Shakara
I believe in Heaven and Hell. I mean there has to be a place for our souls to go. We're no going to just rot in the ground

I do not believe in heaven and hell. Because what is hell and what is heaven? They are just imagenations that where createad long ago when people had hard times and they had to believe in something better like heaven
