Naruto VS. Fullmetal Alchemist
1 Page: [ 1 ]
Those two shows are both popular but which one is better? Their stories are completely different. One that talks about ninjas, the other about alchemists. I choose Fullmetal Alchemist because: firstly, the story is very original with the equivalent exchange thing and alchemy and so on. Secondly, the characters are really cool (like *squeak* M..Mustang). Third reason, the "illustrations" are much more beautiful and detailed than Naruto's. Anyway, that's just my opinion. What do you think? Which show do you prefer? I'd be fun for me to know and for everybody as well. Thank you for posting!
For me is full metal too

Well i mean,...Fullmetal was meant for a specific amount of time and its story ended already and Naruto lasts a whole bunch a time...the animation was better on fullmetal and it was a lot more sinister and had good music...but i prefer the ninjas...go naruto...

Fullmetal Alchemist is a far better anime or manga than Naruto. FMA actually has some dept and a good developed story. There were no fillers in FMA. FMA has better developed characters. FMA has better plott twist than Naruto. Well I coud go on and on, but the truth is that even Naruto fans will admit that FMA is a far better show, hell it is one of the best Anime show that have come out of japan in the last 10 years. Naruto is just a DBZ ripoff wannabe that sucks.

Dnwalker, it's not a DBZ rip-off :)
Masashi Kishimoto was inspired by Toriyama and enjoyed DBZ, so that is why it may seem similar in a few ways.
Anyway, FMA just has to win. It's more in depth and emotional.
But if we were to talk about action... Naruto I guess..

Uh~~ IT is hard to chose. Because I love them both and I think they both have their own goods and bads. But if I reallu have to choose between them.
I will choose... Fullmetal Alchemist. Because it did teach you one thing that is really trun in life. You only exchange things that are at the same price. Whcich I think it is really turn in life. You want to have something good, then you have to pay for it.

Do we even need to discuss this? Full Metal Alchemist is a far more superior series than Naruto, if only for the fact that FMA doesn't have Sasuke in it.
Naruto is really your typical ninja anime, but it plays out the idea quite nicely which is why it's so popular. Not only are ninja animes popular but one that manages to keep the idea fresh for a long amount of time is going to attract viewers. However, I can't say much about the fillers. I just want them to catch up with the manga, because it's looking very interesting. Also, Sasuke must die.
Full Metal Alchemist has an original idea and while it puts on a good eye-show it also makes you think. There are interesting characteres and their relationships with one another are intriguing, hilarious, and even sorrowful. Some examples include Roy/Riza, Ed/Alphonse, Ed/Winry, Lust/Gluttony, Lust/Scar, Envy/Ed, Dante/Hoenheim, etc. No characters are overused and everyone continues to surprise us up until the very end. It's definitely in my top 5 and I recommend it to everyone here who has not seen it yet (god knows why).

Almost tie but FMA wins because FMA got more beautiful concept like the alchemy skill, equivalent trade etc. and the story is also nice and i like the character(my favorite is Hughes)
Yea gotta agree with ~trebors although FMA is, to me, a bit better because of the story, artwork, character relations, so on so on, I REALLY like both series, but to me the ending of FMA was sort of disapointing. Still it was okay. And naruto, i still like the story, character relations are okay, the artwork, especially in the manga, is still very good quality. So i think theyre both really great, but FMA is a little better.
They're both overrated. Naruto is shounen trash to appeal to the masses, and Full Metal is way too melodramatic and egotistic for my liking. However, if I was forced to watch one or the other for the rest of my life, I would have to say Full Metal, because it does have some redeeming values. It's prettier, for a start.

Ohh that’s a rather hard choice.
They both have the pro’s and con’s
Naruto’s story is catchy and easy to follow, so it’s always fun to watch. And what best about it is that it is a on going series that has almost reached 200 episodes. So there really isn’t a shortage of episodes to watch. And to add onto that each character is unique. But the bad points about Naruto is that at times it can get a little repetitive, and well…..the fillers.
And with Full Metal Alchemist it is always beautifully animated, the characters where given so much detail in their personalities and the plot line is so deep and has much to offer. But in my opinion it ended way to soon, and the anime version is just to different from the magna.
So after all that my choice is…….. Undecided >.<

I'm going to have to say Full Metal Alchemist on this one. Both are really great shows in their own, but I just think Naruto's story line moves waaaayyyy to slow. Granted it is very good and interesting, but there have been a few episodes where I was just like "Wow, almost nothing happened to move the storyline forward at all." While FMA always kept moving. So, while they are both worthy of watching, I'm going to have to say I like Full Metal Alchemist the best.

Definitely not. FMA only stops at episode 51 while Naruto episodes are still being churned out persistently like a cockroach. Comparing them when one has ended while the other has yet to finish is somewhat placing them on unequal footing.SakieraDo we even need to discuss this?
