I guess it is hard to stick with TSUBASA alone when it incoperates so many older Clamp titles into it. I am an old Clamp fan too so it is also very hard for me. But I want to start a thread that can concentrate on serious discussion about the story and characters development of TSUBASA the MANGA itself...as there are already many threads including it in "Clamp's works", or threads full of comments like "I love TSUBASA!! Kyaaa~Kurogane/Fye/Syaoran is so hot!!"

But of course, you're absolutely welcome to reference it to other CLamp's titles, especially xxxHolic, since those two are inseperable ^_^

I was devastated. Yes I cried...I haven't cried for a manga for a LONG time, since probably, when certain someone in Death Note dies...I couldn't believe that the ladies in CLAMP can be THIS cruel >_< why do they always torture the characters we (and they) love the most?! WHY??! Why do they have to do that with FYE? As if the poor guy hasn't suffered enough! Oh please let them have a fulfilling good ending...I can't stand it to see Fye suffer like this!

But then no story development can progress in TSUBASA without a climax...a conflict so harsh and stunning that it turns the whole direction of the story.....yet I hate CLAMP for torturing her fans like this >_< ohh poor Fye...

Well, I like what Tsubasa is becoming. I wasn't a fan of this manga at the beginning because it seemed to happy and too simple, kinda like a Clamp version of Inuyasha (let's gather Sakura's feathers = Let's gather the Shikon no Tama pieces); but after some volumes you could start to see it would be way darker.

I was quite happy when I saw they were in the X world (since I have been waiting for, 3? years for it to continue, and even if it's not the same, it's something); and being X it was bound to be gore.
Fay is going to be the guinea pig for Clamp tortures, and I would be happy enough if he ended the manga alive (I would be ecstatic if he ended both alive and living with Kurogane in Tomoyo's Japan).

I guess he'll end up getting his eye back, since they left that door open. I would like to see soon a scene with Fye feeding off Kurogane, but as things are now; that's quite improvable

I agree with you completely there. When I read the first volume I think it was pretty interesting that CLAMP comes up with the idea of crossover for her two new series+older ones, while (as I've said also in many other posts) understanding that this is one of their great marketing skills at work XD. I like TSUBASA enough to continue buying the volumes as they come out...but no, not frantically engaged in it like I am now. I really thought this is Clamp's version of Inuyasha too ^^;;

But Fye is one of the major reasons I am so engaged now. He is one of the most developed characters, but also the one readers know least about. Sure I smile when he says he's fleeing from "Ashura-ou" *rolls eyes*, but that's about all we know about him...I was waiting and waiting for Clamp to give out clues, bit by bit, when Fye interacts especially with Kurogane...but then THAT horrid thing happen. Oh CURSE CLAMP for hurting fans like this.

Don't even get me started on X...has it already been 3 years?! NOW I finally understand why Clamp CAN'T continue X--because it has to make way for TSUBASA's X. X can't end until the arc in TSUBASA ends -_-

LOL, Kuro-sama+Fye eh...haha I just can't imagine them together ^^;; but don't say that...Fye is not going to die, no he's not, or CLAMP will be drown with fans' rage.

but what about Fye saying that Yuuko is being too nice to Syaoran and Sakura when she says everything will be fine if they gets the left eye back? Why is it even more cruel if they get it back than not at all? And Fye's cynicism scares me, like, a lot...

Nobody takes Syaoran's eye but his other self. The uncontrolled Syaoran took FYE's eye AND half of his powers away with it...

and I cannot say any more than that...>_< OH FYE! *CRY*

the one where we find out that the Syaoran we've been following and reading about was a clone T-T and and...he became evil T-T and Fyyyyee!! evil clone Syaoran stole his eye T-T
and that whole time, i thought the Syaoran in the tube thingy was the clone O_o;;

though of course they couldn't kill Fye because he's one of the major main characters (was happy that he was still alive^^)

i read it a couple of days ago lol, i more curious to see where the group will be headed off to next, and where the clone Syaoran went off to (could he have popped into Fei Wong Reed world? or did FWR send him to another world to ?)

Tsubasa is probably one of my favorite manga for sure, i love the whole fay part. The sakura and shaoran part is nothing like cardcaptors which really disappointed me, however fay makes the whole thing worth it imo. I also like how they included several different anime/manga into the whole thing, gives it some originality by completely stealing from themselves lol. If your cought up in the manga, it's starting to get hel la interesting with the new twists ^^, besides from this the only other manga that ive really gotten into is deathnote. Tsubasa is definatly one to read.

It's getting more and more confusing TT.TT.... wonder how Clamp will be able to get their characters out of this whole mess.

Well its not like he died or lost an arm or anything. He just lost an eye and half his magic~ it wasn't like fai was using it all to well anyways. Anyways vampire eyepatch fai is a bit cooler/manilier/and more involved then his old self

What I like of this history is the way in which CLAMP combines their previous personages of their diverse ones manga in a single history

I think the real Syaoran (i.e. the one that just got out of the tube, who still hasn't had time to change his clothes...poor guy) is going to travel with the group from now on, replacing the now evil clone Syaoran. But Clamp's reasons are really unconviencing. I mean...he has spent time with the Kuro-goku people for at least 7 years, and he still hasn't grow a heart of his own? That's just impossible! With the love he bears Sakura too! Just unthinkablr that he just throws all of that away! I'm pretty sure he is going to another world to get another feather, Fei Wong has no need to meet with him since he's just a tool.

I actually feel that TSUBASA has finally entered a new stage...no longer are they simply moving to find feathers, but they are now (more than ever) battling against their own problems as they journey--revenge, despair, determination to find a lost heart...ahhh, may they have a good journey...

At first, i see Tsubasa Chronicle as a good manga. But there's something that doesn't look good here.
Looking back at Inuyasha, the story about collecting Shikon no Tama which is uncountable number, the story looked like it never end.
How about Sakura's feather? It's uncountable and, that means the adventure of this serie is long and it can't be ended soon enough.
Inuyasha is bad with that neverending stories, but how about Tsubasa?

It's giving that feeling at first, but after some volumes, the feathers look like something secondary. Lately the manga has been more about character development than adventure.

About Fye and his eye and Xiaolang... I think Yuuko's comment about being cruel to get his eye back, means that if he wants his eye back he is going to take it (maybe by force?) from Xiaolang, and it's not gonna be pretty if it happens.

@fool: Fye's problem doesn't lie now with the loss of the eye; the problem is that while he doesn't have his eye back, he is going to be a vampire, depending on Kurogane for "food" and he doesn't like that for two reasons: one, he doesn't want to depend that much on him; and two he has been saying all the time that he didn't really had any interest in living, but he didn't want to kill himself. What happened with the clone gave him the perfect oportunity to die, but that has been taken away from him without his opinion.

Still I think, it's a matter of time these two (Fye and Kurogane) come to some kind of agreement or truce

I'm glad that something might actually be starting to happen now that Sakura is back from her "mission" even though she was unsuccessful. Otherwise the last few chapters have been rather boring even though it's a good time for Sakura cos she actually done something other than sleep since the Dragonfly race.

Yeah I agree. I'm not sure if Fye will take back his eye though, I mean, he's just that bit too nice. In the latest chapter that I read (132) it was the first time I genuinly saw him angry and then cry. So I think that him and Kuro are going to figure something out or the real Syaoran is going to get the eye back by force or something.
I recon that the real Syaoran will travel with the group instead of the clone until they actually find the clone but I know that they are going to change worlds soon now because Sakura wants to leave. Does anyone think that she'll get her memories back or do you think that she'll start a new relationship with the real Syaoran? I think that maybe the two Syaorans might become one person later on in the story but that's still an if for me. What do you think?

She is not going to get her Xiaolang memories back. In xxxHolic it's quite clear that Yuuko doesn't give freebies, and if that's the prize she had to pay, it's final. Unless, someone pays for her to get her memories back
