This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

Lol it was totally diff for me, and ill be frank about it - i hated NGE. I didn't like all the religious symbols they used simply because they made the whole thing confusing for me to watch. an anime, for me thats too confusing is no fun to watch. I was totally pissed at the last 2 TV episodes i almost fell asleep. I dunno where you found the sad parts but I'd much rather watch Kanon and Air

I felt quite understanding of where the director stood and what he wanted to say cause I can relate. NGE was based on the experiences of the director who had I think been under depression and was in a mental institute? not sure about that part but I just related to the anime and I felt good after he finally got through that final hurtle. Although it was a bit rushed, it was still good. They are releasing new episodes this year right? are they out yet? I have no checked.

Yeah i agree with on this one. I felt i could connect with director with how he was feeling at the time. I mean the way they put the anime, I felt almost lost and bedazzled much like the mind state of his. Although i must admit it did get confusing at the end when

But yeah i can't wait till the 4 movies come out. I'm so gonna go out buy it straight away when its out on the market.

After I finished watching Eva I rolled my eyes and cursed myself for wasting time on it in the first place. It's sad to me when a writer drops the ball. -_-

Even though it's anime, and a degree of unrealism is welcome, the end of evangelion was just going too far. I can tell you right now the world cannot end, 100% in that way. Many of the symbols in that anime, at least in my eyes, were never explained. Stuff like beams of light being shot into the sky and forming the cross, what does that mean? Did the writers do that just because they thought religious themes were cool? One of my friends hates it because he thinks it's insulting to try to replicate so many religious themes into the anime. For me, that wasn't the case at all, but simply so much of the storyline confused me so much it made me stop caring about the anime. Did Asuka die at the end when her eva got owned? I don't care. NGE is one of the few animes where I don't have a favorite character.

Lol, yeah if you just watch the ending of the series, you gonna want to never watch it again (Ganix got death letters becasue of it) HOWEVER, that is the reason why the made Death & Rebirth, and The End Of Evangelion, which are the real endings
SPOILER (click to view)
. On top of that, the final movie of the trilogy thats being released in Japan will have a all new ending, and the live action movie will have another one too.

Eva is one of the 1st few animes that i have watched and frankly speaking, other than all those fightings scenes and stuff like that, i can't seem to understand the ending although i know that a lot of people died. (o_o) emoticon maybe i should watch it again.

End of Evangelion was pretty meaningful to me, and it had a significant impact on me. I liked all the ideologies and symbols the anime in general spewed out, but the anime ending made little sense to me, but after watching the movie, I really got a hang on what it was trying to portray.

Unlike most people, I loved NGE.

I liked everything, including the ending. The religious, psychological and philosophical allusions just made me want more of it. It can be a total brain-bender for those who are ignorant about such topics but for those who have a good array of knowledge would most likely enjoy it. At least I did.

The last two episodes were very interesting but I was left wanting more. The story had to close. And that is when EoE came into play. That was all I needed.

All in all, a great series IMO.

Honestly, I was like WTF? When I finished watching Evangelion I couldnt believe that I lost my time with such a lame anime. Seriously, it was very dissapointing.

I liked the light moments --- like when Shinji and Asuka were paired off and had to practice for their synchronized attack. The whole series made me confused on what exactly is the message...kinda like your life, you don't really know what would happen after you graduate from school. From thereon, it's just happy sailing kid !
