Well, this is nice news. However, as it's been said in the article:
The people who have read the manga completely may already know how the story would turn out to be. As this is only the anime adaptation. As for the people who haven't read the manga(like me!), this is something that'd be looked forward to. And we'll surely find out how the story ends after watching the anime! XD
However i don't know when to expect the anime here where i live. But this sure is good news!

Anime News NetworkThe anime will cover the story in volumes 36 to 56 of the manga — the final 21 compiled book volumes.

It's about time.
Finally.
I'm sure they'll air it in my country since when they started airing inuyasha, the show was still ongoing.

It would be nearly impossible in my country as CN is never going to show it and Animax would take too long or start telecast straight in Japanese at midnight.
(Animax broadcasts fresh episodes of Tears to Tiara at 12:35 am Sunday in my country and I am no mood to watch that at such time).
Hoping for some nice day....
Finally. I agree the anime was ended precipitately, with no logic with the manga whatsoever. It's the problem when the companies animate unfinished manga. You don't know if the author is gonna end it any time soon or drop it unexpectedly.

I'll love to see the conclusion of the anime series, but again it is the conversion of the final volumes of the manga into a conclusion of the anime. The anime story line has been consistent and rather enjoyable up to this point, and I haven't read the conclusion of the manga. That said I'll cheerfully let, Rumiko Takahashi tell me how the story ends. I'm just glad that a conclusion of the anime is in all likelihood on it's way to me here in the U.S.A.

Well at least a 'sequel' that finally covers the later parts. SO I won't see it as new series, but as a sequel...
I hope it won't turn out to be as weird as the first one =\
Also I hope they stop censoring on TV, don't want to have to buy the dvds...

I think it should end in all mythical creatures die a horrible bloody death leaving nothing buy animals and the kagomai thus the world was saved cuz there were only weak humans left
That's great news! I followed the story in the manga, but seeing all the action in the anime should be wonderful! In my country anime is not as popular so I'm not so sure when I'll be seeing it on t.v,but maybe I'll be able to follow it online...
AodAzrielIn my country anime is not as popular
In my country the anime is seen as cartoon for kids
The people thinking this really sound like kids to me.

This is easily one of my most favored anime series, it's what got me into anime to begin with. All that I hope is that they do a really good ending to it, I wasn't all that pleased with the manga ending.
The other thing I hope they do is release it on DVD/bluray here eventually, I just finished collecting all the Inuyasha boxsets, and if they make new ones, I want to complete it. The same goes for that new Fullmetal Alchemist anime they have, and the Ikkitousen series 2 and 3, and Queen's blade; those Americian distribution companies have to get this stuff out there for us to buy.
Anyways, before I rant about unrelated material, I hope it's good, and I hope they release it here with the same voice actors and everything.

The first thing called anime I ever watched was Pokmon (and it was just regular cartoon to me), from where I really got into anime thingy was Inuyasha and they were so nice times when I had just started watching Animax
but now the Animax is filled with dudes trying to act cool instead of those hot(cute, pretty, seductive) babes
