Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2
Wow, I'm actually kinda stoked for a sequel for once. Aside from Tekken 6. It looks pretty interesting with what they're doing with it. Any opinions?
Personally I'm happy to use Ayane, since I love speed-base characters. In Sigma, I usually swapped to the dual wielding swords (I can't remember the names right now), so yeah, that's interesting to me. Although, Momiji seems like a random addition.
I'm also interested in the co-op mode, with one complaint. I'd like to play with my brother on the team missions offline, since we can't really afford a second PS3, and I get kind of annoyed at most allied computer AIs. I hope they decide to add an offline co-op, but for some reason I doubt it, since the same thing happened to Armored Core For Answer.

I think this is going to be cool....i thought it was a shame that momiji only appeared in the DS ninja Gaiden game and then was never heard from after.....
Rachel also has been given some new abillities....and a new gun....this weapon is interesting at it has the firepower of and assault rifle yet she can sometimes fire it one handed while using her grappling hook....

She also used her body to help control it though. Then again, she does have that curse going on about her--she might have had a power boost.
Isn't Momiji the last surviving priestess of the Hayabusa village? I never actually played the DS game.

I'm actually pretty excited about this game. I absolutely LOVED the original Ninja Gaiden on XBOX, and I loved Ninja Gaiden Black. Unfortunately though, I considered Ninja Gaiden 2 quite the disappoint. I thought the original "next-gen" Ninja Gaiden was great as far as difficulty goes; it was hard, but taking the time to learn the intricacies of the game feels ridiculously rewarding while you kill everything in sight.
Ninja Gaiden 2 was a bit off in this respect--rather than feeling like you had to master the game to do things properly, you instead have to struggle against absurd things like off-camera projectiles from some guy miles away. That's just not cool. It completely disrupted the flow of ass kicking ninja action with the occasional off-screen arrow hitting you in the face and dropping you on your ass.
That said, I'm a sucker for things like extra playable characters, and the co-op should be awesome. Not to mention I love team Ninja, and Ayane is my favorite DOA character (save for Hayabusa, but...you know...that's probably because he's always been in Ninja Gaiden XD). I just hope they address some of those annoying issues with the "difficulty". That, and it'd be nice if they kept the raining bloodbaths from the original NG2, but it seems they toned that down a bit T_T

yeah, I saw a demo video online, and it turns out that instead of blood, they have a strange purple mist (?) spurting out from the cuts. I actually don't mind that as much as I should ( I'm just glad they made it for PS3, been waiting for ages...
) I'm pretty excited about the new characters, even though Rachel did piss me off at times in NG Sigma. We apparently also get a new weapon as well as a whole new boss (he's supposed to be huge). Also, the video that I viewed also did a side by side graphics comparison between NG 2 and NG Sigma 2. They did the first level with the Sakura petals falling down from the sky. The petals on the PS3 screen were far more distinguishable from the background, they shone as they fell to the ground. So besides all the additions, I'm looking forward to the game making use of the PS3's power as a console.

I hate it, I don't own a PS3 I'm a Xbox user so I can't have fun with the extras and the online mode. :( But I'm definetly going to buy a PS3 for MGS and Ninja Gaiden. :3

I can't wait this game either and i don't care about no deceptions or blood gore i just like swift fast paced hack and slash and Ninja Gaiden delivers it for 100% so that's all i want. Overal this game will be good, hope that Ninja Gaiden 3 / Other Title is in development with similar fighting engine maybe better.

Ps3 Exclusive...
darn lol...
I don't have a PS3 so I won't be able to get this game.
The game looks cool. I've played the original Ninja Gaiden's on NES and the one on original XBOX.
I never got Sigma on 360 but I guess it would be silly to play the sequal before getting the first game first.

The only thing that the PS3 version is lacking it's blood, the sea of blood you can unleash in the 360 version... they could bring a GOTY version of NG2 on 360 with all the improvements, like they're doing with Gears of War 2 and Fable 2...

Ummm, I think the Sigma series is PS3 exclusive actually. Never actually heard of Sigma being on the 360 anyhow. I could be wrong though.
And to be honest, I'm glad they cut down on the excessive blood. Blood just makes me feel queasy. x-x (is the kind of person that turns blood off on Mortal Kombat, lol)
All I can say is... yay for Sixaxis :P

I'm looking forward to the game coming out. I've heard a lot of people complain about small issues, like the lack of gallons of blood, but I really don't think it's that big of a deal. The main appeal of Sigma II are the girls anyway. As for the Sixaxis feature, I'm not sure what to think of that. Kinda ridiculous if you think about it.

I thought it was the most useless function added to a video game that I've ever heard of. Mind you, I kind of have a slim library/knowledge.
When you're playing the game, do people actually notice that kind of detail...?

I just finished Sigma 1 and am eager to play then 2nd! I'm kind of glad it came out on the 360 first so it can be revised and improved for the PS3
