I've gotta say I'm loving Bleach so far (no spoilers, still not all the way up to ep. 16) and it's getting a really good plot. things are becoming explained, and the unusual sense of humor is growing on me. the characters, and even the strange enemies make it very memorable, as well as the variety of characters, whose styles are so different it makes it feel great and unique for a change. I mean, they don't dress the same way for long, instead of the same thing for almost the whole series. makes it feel more realistic, and makes sense. anyways, that's my opinion. any others?

I'm a manga fan, didn't watch the anime because it didn't '<i>feel</i>' right. <!--emo&:P--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tongue.gif' /><!--endemo--> i heard that for the past few episodes, the animation quality has gone down. is this true? that would be a waste; judging by the first 2 episodes i watched, if it gets any worse it would become rather difficult to watch....

I watch the anime and also read the manga... XD sometimes the anime can show more interesing effects than the manga, which is sometimes very cool. ^^

Well, like every other anime out there, the Bleach anime differs than that of the manga in some ways and I don't really like it because of this. As far as the quality of animation goes, it is very decent... and no, I did not see a drop in quality for the recent episodes.

So far, Bleach has been all good for me. Bear in mind that I have only watched up till episode 12 since I'm following Anime-Keep's version.Would you agree with me if I were to say that the Soul Society arc were to be the "make-or-break" point for the anime? The manga had so much violence, blood and action all contributing to such a dramatic atmosphere that if the anime were to tone it down up to the point it feels too sanitize, it might kill the mood for Bleach manga readers just like what the anime did to Tenjou Tenge.Just wanting to hear your opinion, guys.PS: There's another thread for Bleach (http://www.animepaper.net/nenene/index.php?showtopic=2283&hl=bleach&st=0) but since the earlier thread was more about impressions of it instead of a more thorough discussion of it, I guess it's okay to leave this thread open.*LOCKS EARLIER THREAD*
Definitely. I always felt that BLEACH had a certain style that I didn't usually see in other anime I watched. The characters are great, and I've read up to Chapter 166 of the manga. The anime is moving fast.

Although the manga is WAY better, thats expected just like most manga to anime shows so meh, the series is great as well. Ive been watching since the raw of episode 1 was available and since i think around volume 7 of the manga was translated up to. So right now im up to date both in the manga and anime...too bad they took bleach out for one week in teh magazine...waiting is so annoying <!--emo&:o--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ohmy.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='ohmy.gif' /><!--endemo-->btw, anyone have any guesses as of who will be on the cover of the next volume? (Volume 16)

I'll have to agree with you guys the anime seems pretty nice to me! Although i haven't read the manga yet (only a matter of time), the general mood, the character designs, the music, the plot, everything actually, was nicely done. And as ukanimemike said in an earlier post in the Mahou sensei negima thread, the anime can add some nice effects with BGM, voice acting, colors (better than black/white don't you think? <!--emo&;)--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo--> ) and such. But i'll definitely have a close look at the manga, because everyone seems to recommend it.I'm following Lunar's version only because they release the latest episodes to be aired in Japan, but i redownload them everytime A-Keep release their version: better typesetting/styling iMO, and nice karaoke effects as well.I just hope the series won't be DBZ-esque, with like 200+ episodes! Or like Naruto. ~ 40 episodes would be great, like GTO! Long live Bleach! Yay Ichigo, kick those conceited shinigami's asses!!! I'd like to see something going on with Orihime too (she has major arguments!!). Huhu (perverted laugh) ^^

Orihime is a main character from now on (unless they decided to completely change the anime which i know they woudlnt change it THAT much) so you'll see lots of her. As for the show only going to about 50 episodes, i dont see it as possible. Yes the show is going fast but its still way behind. I mean the manga isnt even done yet and its already up to ~168 chapters and the show is still at about chapter 40. =/

They could make a cute couple, as they seem to be opposites, it could very well work between them! The scary-looking "bad" guy that never ever smiles with the "clueless" happy-go-lucky girl (and damn she's hot!! *blush*). It is very well known: the opposites attract each other!!I like Rukia too, but she's way too "childish" physically IMO, that is, by the way, why Ichigo called her 'little brat' when they first met.Besides, she's not really human... But this is just my 2 cents!!

Ah, well then if your watching the show for that dont bother finishing it (i mean im just GUESSING that it wont happen cuz its pretty obvious it wont but who knows) As in the Orihime x Ichigo thing. Its more likely (its not a fact so its not a spoiler) that Orihime could end up with Ishida...you might say NO THATS IMPOSSIBLE right now but you'll see why a lot of people believe it to be wahts gonna happen (if anything like that happens with Orihime involved) later on in the show.and uh...they pretty much imply like all the time that Ichigo and Rukia have a thing for each other <!--emo&:rolleyes:--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='rolleyes.gif' /><!--endemo--> you can deny it but its oh so obvious.OH AND BTWYORUICHI = TEH GREATEST BLEACH CHARACTER they better not ruin her in the show...they havnt done so to anyone so i have faith...and her seiyuu is awesome so it should be ok, YAY <!--emo&:o--><img src='style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ohmy.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='ohmy.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Oh no I'm not watching it for that reason, hell no!! But I was imagining if it could be possible, it was merely a guess! Bleach is no romance anime, for sure!It's clearly more action-oriented, but I was wondering if the makers were to develop a lil' side-story lovestory between Orihime and Ichigo, that's it.And as you said, the thing going on between Rukia and Ichigo is fairly obvious...
