This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

:o I think I need to find my old snes and play this game again. I was recently cleaning out my office and found the cartridge for chrono trigger and Final fantasy 3(us). Sadly I cannot find where I put my snes.

Chrono Trigger. Haha good stuff. I actually bought the Crono Trigger for psx and played it on my ps2.(yea i had snes version and played it. but my obsessive compulsive self bought the psx version and played literally the same game.) Double tech and Triple tech all neat ideas. Characters were oddly interesting :). Gotta love that.

Chrono Trigger = equals one of the best rpgs of 1995. Lol i might go on and on about this rpg but seriously man this rpg was way better than ff7 in my opinion. Great artwork by Akira Toriyama, fantastic battle system * the double tech and triple tech were great ideas, awesome characters like Frog or Magus, great story and most of all the music. I have one word: Awesome

Chrono Trigger was a great RPG, one of the best I've played. Unique battle system, loveable characters, amazing soundtrack. One thing in particular that I liked about the characters was the fact that an arch nemesis of yours, magus, eventually decides to join your party in the fight against a greater evil. I don't even really remember why or how this happened, but it was a pretty cool concept - being able to use his most hated abilities on your own enemies.

I also liked the way you could manipulate time in the game. I never really finished chrono cross, which i'm sure is also a great game, but chrono trigger was the only game that I can remember that allowed you to freely move back and forth in time, making an impact whenever you did anything. I seem to remember being able to get an item in the future, then going back to the past and getting it again, or something like that. And clearing fortresses in the past, and then seeing in the future that it no longer existed. Pretty cool stuff.

I have it loaded on my PSP. Thinking about it is making me want to play it again :P

I find it slightly beguiling that the description of this topic describes Chrono Trigger as the work of Akira Toriyama alone. He may have contributed fittingly to the project with his character designs (coincidentally the only character designs of his that I do not outright dislike) however this is as far as his role extends. If anything the work should be contributed to the "Dream Team" assembled for the project. That is Hironobu Sakaguchi (Director), Yuji Horii (Director), Akira Toriyama (Artist), Kazuhiko Aoki (Producer), Nobuo Uematsu (Composer), Yasunori Mitsuda (Composer) and Masato Kato (Scenario).

As for the game itself its never been officially released here which is somewhat of a pain. That hasn't stopped me completing and enjoying the PSX version though.

And then... chrono cross... lol. i try not to think about the disappointment too much.

DREAM GAME... chrono trigger remake. graphics: done by level 5 (people who did dragon quest 8 another great toriyama game ) battle system: a mixture of grandia 2 (and possibly 3... we'll see when it comes out... ) and the original chrono trigger double and triple techs.

i know its never going to happen... but its fun to imagine "what if"...

thoughts?

I liked the PSX version. It had extras, like anime cutscenes and such, which made the whole gae even look better. I still remember playing CT on my couzin's SNES when I was young, damn I loved that game.

I had some seriously bad luck with Chrono Trigger. I was playing the Rom for a few days, enjoyed the game greatly and I got to the end. I reached Lavos and the freaking game freezes! I try to load the file again and [ifont]NOTHING[/dfont]. Man I was pissed, but the game is cool.

I consider Chrono Trigger like some of the black and white movies from the 1930's and 40's, it's old but timeless. It can certainly hold its own against quite a few of the titles that are on the market today. I loved the story and how you can manipulate events in time to change how the game ends. It also had among the best cast of characters and soundtrack of any game to date. One thing that seemed especially interesting was the level of detail to the visual graphics. They programers looked like they really pushed the engine to the limit on the Super Nintendo when they created this. The Playstation remake was also great because the game retains all of the integrity that made original so popular. If you can still find either of these formats on the market you should get them, because Chrono Trigger is a true classic.
