Disipointing animes

So far that has happened twice. With Neogenesis evangelion and Fullmetal alchamist.
Both on the surface looked to be very well done and have interesting stories.
Sadly both of them felt like you were watching a torture video and nothing ever went right.

XDD Personally I love both of those series and they have giant fanbases, maybe they're just not up to your tastes xD
I've seen a few titles that look good but really arent. The gonzo Hellsing anime was pretty poor and I wasnt as pleased with the Chrno Crusade anime at the end at all. The series looked so awsome (and both of the manga of those 2 series are my favorite manga series), but they really feel short... probably because gonzo sucks at adapting manga to anime and they like to change everything =P

I too was extremely dissappointed with how Fullmetal Alchemist anime ended, but I AM pleased with how the manga is progressing (since its still going). I don't know... the anime ended in a way I just didn't quite expect. It was a "happy" ending but not really fulfilling, atleast for me it wasn't. Regardless I love FMA with a PASSION ^^

Although the series just started I am a bit disappointed with Witchblade the anime.I thought the characters would be drawn differently, not to metnion the main character's storyline.I thought she'd be younger like in high school, but no.........they gave her a kid.

Look,it's up to your tastes.Being a huge fan of FMA,I was a bit dissapointed with ONLY the ending of FMA in the movie but realised after a bit of thinking that it was the most suitable ending for such a series.
I would like Ed to stay with Winry but don't forget : this is not a romance anime...
And if they remained in the alchemists' world what would they do?Just live a happy life?

I'm going to have to go with Chrono Crusade. I had high hopes for this show. It just felt really amateur and cliche. I'm not sure what kind of show it was trying to be because on one hand it would try to be serious and dark, and on the other hand they'll pull out some random and idiotic visual gag or fanservice during the said serious scene, ruining the atmosphere. There were so many loose ends to the story (Such as the uselessness of Remington's sword) and the final battle was VERY anticlimatic. The ending was terrible, it was as if they made it sad so maybe people would overlook the fact that the series was mediocre. Didn't work on me though. Maybe the writers should've taken a page out of Zeta or Victory Gundam, those two shows have very sad endings which were actually good.

I was very disappointed by the likes of FMA and Evangelion (seriously £180 down the drain on evangelion, and when compared to mmm Rahxephon it was just dull and ugly.) I like chrono crusade but do have problems with it mostly down to the fact that it doesn't seem to know what it is silly fanservice comdedy or something darker and more serious.
However I think Last Exile is really fantastic, I also like .hack alot (but if I'm honest it's nothing special), I like what I've seen of scryed too.
However my faves are Serial Lain, Haibane Renmi and boogiepop phantom, and all those were anime I just stumbled onto. Also much against the grain I really like Gasaraki.

Hmm dissapointing animes? Hmm, I'll have to go with Evangelion as well and probably Fate/Stay night. Alright starting with Evangelion.
Evangelion was great with the whole series but how it ended in the movie was just a pitty. I didn't really like how the entire series ended. The end of evangelion was great and it was linked to the series but how it ended was disappointing. In the end, Asuka and Shinji survives and everyone in the entire world pratcially dead. And that's it. Not really the ending I expected.
Fate/Stay night. Probably some of you haven't seen the last episode or still watching it, I won't spoil the ending for you. I just wish it would haved been better. And I just wish Lancer would haved played a better role in the show.

I won't agree with fullmetal alchemist, i was amuzed while watching to the end. Someone mentioned hellsing, i think it's great. I was very disapointed while watching green green, the reviews were rather good, the story is also good, but it's too horny and stupid. The same with onegai twins, when i read a review i thought it was going to be the best anime i have ever seen, i was wrong. I have seen onegai teacher and i can't imagine a better anime and in the review they said that the autors corrected some mistakes and onegai twins is much better. Maybe i just expected too much. I was also very disapointed while watching last exile, it's boring.

I didn't like how the Fruits basket anime ended. They didn't introduce a lot of the other zodiac animals and they spent 3 episodes on the Kyo thing and it was really depressing. I didn't like how they showed Tohru with Akito either, it didn't really solve anything. I really think they should make a season 2 but I know they're not going to so...yeah I didn't like the ending of FB everyhthing else was awesome though

Real bout high school killed me when I watched the anime series...The manga was okay...Jeez I felt I lost 2 years of my life watching that horrible anime...hehehe I give it to someone for their next birthday

It takes a lot to appreciate some anime. Neon genesis evangelion, for the normal animer watcher, I think it would have been really disappointing, but I liked the weird ending and how things got even more unresolved, because it has a lot of hidden morals in it.
I thought Full metal alchemist was a great anime and it did not disappoint me. The ending some people aren't satisfied with, I wasn't originally either, but it opened nicely into the movie. So it was fine.

For me I would say GunGrave. I hear alot of people say its really good and how much they like it but it just didn't do it for me.
Among the hundreds of series i've watched, the only series that i was so dissapointed with what i can't even finish watching it becuase it was so slow, full of flashbacks, and flashbacks within the flashbacks, awful action sequence, horrible sound effects, character development that made no sense, and stare-offs longer than dbz. That anime was Noir.
I hate when animes pull a bad ending. You take the time to look and review a anime to watch, then bam, bad at the end.
There were a few, one that comes to mind is Magikano, they pulled a "time travel" ending to go back in time to when the show started, god. >_<
