Anime games stink

The best anime-based game I ever played was Gundam Side Story for the Dreamcast. It was good. Really good. The problem was that it was also really REALLY short. It would probably take somebody about six hours to play through. On the plus side, you didn't have to like Gundam to like the game. You just had to like the idea of giant robots fighting each other.
Most anime games though do fall far short of expectations, unfortunately. However, my friends and I have had fun with Narutimate Hero 3 (import), but I don't know what the last Naruto game that was released on the PS2 in the US was based on. Robotech: Battlecry was also fun, but it was just too repetitive. And Evangelion for the N64 was fun as well, but I think it's one of those games where you either love it or hate it completely.
@RetroXi, Bear vs Bear fights are downright fun.

Yeah, I got that channel, I think it sucks that they do not show any anime programs anymore. I mostly watch it for X-Play and E3 coverage nowadays.

OMG i know it completly sucks i was soo mad i liked the show last exile but anways G4's X-play makes very good reviews for games they are hilarious i think video gamers all over should check it out. http://www.g4tv.com/xplay/index.html

So far, i've only played the narutimette hero series on ps2 and thesp one and they've been pretty good .. just like any other fighting game, only with different moves.

Naruto? the buttons are soo easy its not really much of a challange. DBZ budokai tenkaichi is ok but the characters are weird and what really sucks is the camera angles. Gundam seed: whats up with the naked spirit touching? its gross. kira is more like a girl then a boy in that game.

fullmetal-mugenanime games are sooo horrible the ones that i played are: fma and the broken angel, naruto clash of ninja, dragon ball z, etc. i like eureka seven but the game is coming out this summer and im scared it going to be a dump like all the other anime games i've played. does anyone know a good anime games?

Everytime they do a game about an anime; they kill it.
They only use the advertising and marketing to sell their shit and that's all.
They have to be ashamed of releasing a piece of crap like this ...

Most of them are decent and if your a fan, you`l always think its funner then it actualy is. The best of the anime games are probably the budokai series. Dbz Budokai 1 was decent, 2 was good and 3 was the best in the series, an amazing anime game and fun to both the fans and those who werent fan of the series. There are also other anime games such as Shonen Jump superstars and Pokemon.

DBZ:Budokai, Naruto:Clash of the Ninja, and .HACK are good, and the upcoming Eureka Seven games look promising.

full metal alchemist: I have not played it first hand but the reviews and previews I'm getting + The bad voice casters. This is another game that I'm not going to touch for now.
Dragonball Budokai : It was fun at first but you kept going to the same block pushing the same button. Repetitive. Nuff' said.

Seriously, I don't like the anime AT ALL, but this game is already a portable 2D fighter classic in my opinon. It's no cheap cash-in for an anime, it is a top notch 2D fighter with a lot of unlockables and enough fighters to keep you going + it has online WiFi multiplayer! I'm hooked to that game, it is seriously a fresh surprise for someone who at first didn't think that it would be any good. ^^ Try it if you can, you won't be sorry.
