This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

It was very clear from what I said earlier. That is concrete proof that they love her more than they wil ever love me. Hopefully they won't coz thinking of that creeps me out.

I threw a water bottle at my sis coz she threw my mp3. Before that she hit my arm yet my parents said nothing. And when she threw the mp3 they said nothing. I cried (fake but convincing) when she threw it. But when I threw the bottle they exploded.

Hey guys, i am goin to europe in a few months and wish to bring my laptop with me. i live in canada and am wondering if anyone knows what to bring with it. i mean to charge, do i need a converter to shange the current or the simple plug (to change the size of the outlet) and the computer automatically changes it for me? This is the first time im travelling with it and i dont want it to be the last. so please any help or info on your past experiences would really be helpful

-->P.S. the computer is an ACER Aspire 1680 (9 months old), and the manual only says to avoid the metal detectors, and xray machines and purchase a look to prevent thievery.

thanks in advance

It might be a good idea to ask about this from a computer store. But I have been asking about the same, myself, and IIRC you do not need anything special if the laptop has a build-in currency-filter. Not sure and it might depend of how new your comp is.

Most, if not all, laptops these days can handle 220V so you shouldn't have to worry about the sockets frying your laptop. If you want to be sure, check your charger/AC-DC convertor. It should have printed on there the amt of voltage it can handle. The only thing you might have to worry about is actually fitting the plug into the wall socket as standard in US doesn't mean standard in Europe. On the bright side though, many hotels offer adapters so you should be alright..I'm not sure about hostals though. Hope that helps.

By an adapter for the plugs in europe. You can buy it at the airport on arrival (I bough mine in Amsterdam). Don't take any electronic devices that can't run on 220V, your asking for troubles if you do. All laptops take 110/240V 50-60 Hz so don't worry about it.

Take a carry on bag with you on the plane. Include two pairs of underwear and socks with a spare shirt in this carry on bag. Also include a toothbrush. If your luggage gets misplaced at least you won't smell ^_^ Also, bring enough of your favorite deoderant (or anti-perspirant) to last the entire trip. You may not find something you like depending on your destination.

Oh yes.. of all things keep your valuables with you in your carry on luggage. Your camera can dissapear if it's in your checked in luggage! Also don't bring any lighters or sharp objects with you in your carry on luggage. Even a miniature screw driver (for glasses) will get you in trouble.

If your flying with an american airline expect an interrogation (or interview if you will) before you board the plane. Don't panic when they ask you point blank if your a terroist, happens to me all the time ^_^

Also bring some cash with you. Check your bank card to make sure it works in europe (look it up with your bank). Credit card is a must if you want to rent a car. If you have a 3 band GSM phone ask your phone provider to enable international roaming (or you can simply ask if your phone and service is supported at your destination).

Last but not least, don't worry! If you forget something you can just buy it there ^_^

Definately do that. Often times you'll find that the exchange rate from your bank when you withdraw in a foriegn country is the best exchange rate you'll get...same with credit cards. You'll want to have some cash with you though because credit card acceptance isn't as widespread as it is in the US.

As stated above, a credit or debit card is best. Mine was my best friend on my trip to Germany. If you are traveling without a car (Lots of fun since trains, planes, and busses can get you within walking distance of anywhere in lots of western europe) I reccomend a rolling duffle bag. It just works better. My traveling companions had one heck of a time lugging around those box style suitcases, especially into and out of trains and up/down stairs. Backpack is a good idea to since you can stuff a water bottle and travel guides into it easily.

As to a converter. Yes, Yes, and Yes. Without it your laptop is deadweight. Also carry some local change for use at the internet cafe's (dirt cheap internet most places I went in Germany and England.)

LOL! like the quote:

South Park: "Don't forget to bring a towel!"

Ford to Arthur:
"there's all kinds of people out there waiting to do things to you - rip you off, kill you -- if you're going to survive out there, you really need to know where your towel is"

or something close to that [it's a quote from The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy for those not in the know]... :o)
