I had plaid around with a few artsy looking retro fonts, didn't really care for them, I might try some more again though. Thanks.

Hmm i would advice keeping his shoes in the image, and the extraction edges need some work like the hair and some other parts. the clouds are a bit to realistic if ya ask me . and yeah maybe some other font for the tekst

i wouldn't fade out the image like that
scan is also a bit grainy.
but you get the basic composition and idea, so that's good.
i would work on the extraction like Beckor mentioned. on top of the ..thing they're sitting on and stuff.
text color has got to change though.
ruins the soft feel, i think for this wall. you can try some textures
especially because of those clouds.

I'm going to work on the text a bit, clean up the extraction and either fix the grain/noise on the scan or make the noise uniform.
As for the sky, I played around a bit with some painterly type filters, however I might end up just leaving it realistic, because a painted sky really doesn't look too much different than a photograph of a sky usually.

Updated, cleaned up scan extraction and noise, removed detail on clouds, changed color toning on clouds.
New text, also changed name to Fly Your Own Sky.
What do you think now? Shall I submit?

Alright, I've done a third version, this time I added a couple Battle Ships and a Vanship to the sky to put this over the edge.

Ok, the more i look at this the more I don't like this ships, should I rework them?
Alright, i've fixed the ships up a bit, they are all consistantly blurry, it didnt make sense to have the large one to be more blurry than the vanship, so the blur is consistant. I also added a finishing touch of the orange sunset reflecting off the bottom of them XD

It looks really good, the sky is just great, the text is exquisite, but honestly? those ships really do ruin it a lot, I mean really a lot. It's just beautiful except for those. I'd say either take away the blur completely and make them look clear, or take them out all together. Oh, also, just a little bit of extracting issues on the top of the ship their sitting on and on Clouse's hair... and I think the JPG quality might be set a bit to low too, it should be 70%-80%. Anyway, it's a nice wallpaper and I do like it a lot, and hope I could help some ^_^

I don't think the blurred ships were that bad, i mean if you're looking at something far in the background it's going to be a bit blurry, you're not going to get a perfect outline. Anyway, I've tried a version with more detailed ships.

Oh, and what you said about the things you look at far away being blurry? that's not really true. Not unless you're trying to focus your vision on something close to you, which Clouse & Lavi aren't doing. Like, if you look at a mountain range, it's not blurry at all... it just looked weird the other way, ya know, cuz if that where true about the ships, the clouds would be blurry too, and well, that wouldn't be good at all ^_^;
Anyway, yeah, it looks really great! I'd say if you fix that little extraction issue, it's all ready to go :)

O kay. Tried the highlight thing on the ship didn't really work out well. What i did do was increase the contrast on the scan part of the wallpaper to match the contrast of the sky. I've also cleaned up Claus' hair the best I could, so this is pretty much what I plan on submitting. Pull the trigger?
