First wall! Bleach wall!

Actually this is my second wallpaper here on session zero but the first one's link to the image doesn't work anymore (it's been 3 years since i posted it!!) and that's a good thing - it was really awful O_O.
Anyway, I need some advices about this WP: http://img18.imageshack.us/img18/3374/nnoitraoretachiwamushi.jpg
Do you think it's good enough for AP's gallery? Vector is not mine, I just worked on the colors, created the background and that thing with japanese writings over Nnoitra's eyepatch. I don't like backgrounds to be too chaotic, so i need to know if this one is too simple, if it is ok or if it can be improved without making it look like a total mess.
I want to keep the text on the bg, it's the English translation for what is written on the eyepatch. And that's why I didn't want to add anything else to the bg, but maybe you can help with some smart advice!

Too bad that the vector is not yours because it needs work.
The bg is too simple. Yes indeed. Whether you want that text or not it's simply not working - it's just there, it's too light to be read (not that anyone will be interested in the translation) and too boring to be considered background. If you want to work with text make it part of the art, play with colors, opacity, sizes.

Firstly, I don't think the color of the background looks good with the colors on the character. I don't really like the colors on the character either; I don't know how to complement them. If I had to work with that vector, I would use some grays for the BG. Here is a good example of how to interestingly use text in the background. You can also split the background into a few rows and have text in one of the panels and some other designs in the other panels. If possible, the saturation of the vector should be lowered because the lines, actually, just around his skin, looks low in quality.
Thx for your advices!!
Yes, the saturation of the vector is very high like that, I'll try to keep the original colors and work with a gray BG, and try to make it more elaborate. I thought it was a good idea to set the saturation that high but maybe it's not the most brilliant idea of the week :(
Thx again!

HI!
I actually love the simplicity of this wall. Good thing you didn't vector or I'd have to yell at you lol. I love the colours and the eyepatch. Only thing for me is I can't read the translation in the background. Maybe give the text a slightly darker colour or give it a slight drop shadow. I don't know but anyway great work on your second wally!
