After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

Hi!I have submitted two scans already existing in the gallery but in Higher resolution and they were rejected :

Original resolution : 1235 x 1686px
Resolution that I have submitted : 2428 x 3059px

Original resolution : 1235 x 1748px
Resolution that I have submitted : 2369 x 2953px

I think that submitting higher resolution is acceptable in AP, but I had paper deduction and my scans was rejected, the scans that I submitted are better than the originals in the gallery. Please help...

The rejection message should also tell you why they were rejected. Do you disagree with that message?

Can you show us your scans so that we can compare the quality? It seems your second scan had text (covering the characters?) so the one already in the gallery would be more useful.

I have no idea why that first scan was rejected. I wasn't the one on at the time, so I can't tell you what was going on. Go ahead and resubmit that first one. We'll see if we can get your papers restored for that rejection too.

One time I reported a smaller duplicate scan, and the larger scan got deleted on the basis that the smaller scan had better quality and the the size of the smaller scan was sufficient for making a wallpaper out of it. I think that can apply here. While your scan is larger than the original, it would require more cleaning if the user didn't want to vector it. :)

In this case, the one ala21ddin21 has is more complete and a bit higher in resolution. Looks like it's a raw scan that hasn't been edited.

I personally always edit the stuff I scan before I submit them :3

I think if the exemple of "luna" can be applied here, I think it should be done without paper deduction, and also I think that the rejection message should tell me this reason...

Should I resubmit again ?

One scan had text, and from what I can see, the quality of the scan in the gallery is much better with the girl standing in full. Your submission is highly compressed with JPEG artifacting. There's no reason to replace that one with the one in the gallery.

Probably because it's in the FAQ, and it's a judgment you can make on your own from looking at a scan.

faq
High quality scans only please. This means that the scan should not have a lot of jpeg artifacting, nor should it be blurry or overly affected by the lines and patterning that result from scanning. See the submission guide above for details.
