First Wallpaper - second attempt
1 Page: [ 1 ]
Hello all! Here again with a new wall. My first attempt was definately lacking in several areas. So, I decided to scrap that one and start over from scratch.
Here is my second attempt: http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y236/hello-big-fish/pipefox_fire-4.jpg
Any suggestions on improvements that could be made would be appriciated!

I was wondering why you gave up on your first wall. there were helpful comments that could have helped to improve it.
ok about your current wall. overall it looks nice but the lines are jagged. use a pen tool to fix that. the wall also seems to be quite noisy especially around the black lines. some red seems to have spilled over the outline in the claws. in my opinion the scan & bg just need some cleaning & editting. other that that i think that the wall is ok. good luck!

In response to that comment - It isn't that I gave up, necessarily. I really want to create a wallaper for submission... I just do. It's my dream. (heh). Right now, that project is on the backburner. The comments were helpful, but while I was working on it I couldn't create anything that I liked or felt was good enough for submission. Then school started again and I was really busy and... I put most of my creative efforts (outside of class) behind my schoolwork. Now I have more free time, and nicer software, and more knowledge of photoshop. I feel like this wallpaper is a better candidate for submission at the time, and that I would like to work on the old more at a later time.
Also, that image was created with Paint Shop Pro 8, and now I have Adobe Photoshop CS2. The original, layered file is saved as a .pspimage (Paint Shop file extension). Now that I have a more versatile graphic editing program, I would like to work with the wallpaper more in that. I believe that there is a way to save .pspimage files as .psd's, but I have yet to experiment with it.
If you're interested, I can upload the two other possible backgrounds I came up with based on the comments I received in that thread and message the urls to you. I will probably pick up that project at a later time. (Maybe when I'm not so determined to create a wallpaper worthy enough of submission to the gallery. :P )
Thank you for the comments on this wallpaper! I'll work on it cleaning it up with the pen tool.
