This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

If you can still back out on the order, i would recommend you use the ASUS P5N32-SLI Deluxe mobo instead. i say so because it's better to use an nForce (nForce4 in this case) chipset on an 8800gts graphics card. trust me, i have the same configuration (mobo-video card) and i got no complaints.

...or probably if you still have cash, get the Striker Extreme to harness the full potential of the 8800gts (or any mobo with nForce 680i).

the rest of the other stuff are A-okay! =)

Hmmm, you kinda should have posted these specs BEFORE you placed your order, lol, now you can't change anything while we might have some negative comment.
As mikageruyi said, you could have chosen a different motherboard, the P5N32-SLI Deluxe with nf4, or the P5N32-E SLI with 680i, both not making much difference in price. Though, I think you based your configuration on some best buy guides of 2 months ago, which basically all recommended the mobo you chose.

Also, there is a pricedrop coming up for Intel processors, so if you could have waited just a little longer, it might have lowered the price a bit. Still, the E6600 is absolutely great.

But yea, the whole system looks great anyhow. I'm pretty curious at the price you paid?

True P4 and PD's are crap, but welcome to the new gen where Intel is currently pwning AMD. So E6600, no boos, all banzai's. As to mention again, you maybe shoulda waited, get the dif mobo and waited for price drop. Also, you should consider a better power supply. I fear 450W may not suffice all your equipment. I would also like to inquire price.

I would most definitely get a larger power supply. Probably nothing under 550 watts. When I built my new PC a little more then a month ago I went 750 watt modular Thermaltake so that I have the power for a video card upgrade when DX10 really starts taking off in the next year. (Crossfired X1950 Pros right now)

I would honestly rethink that 8800 because of nVidia's current driver support which is pretty much right in the crapper.

That 450 Watt Antec power supply is good and stable enough to run that system, no problem. 500+ Watt is only needed when you're thinking about SLI/CF configurations, or have connected a lot of drives, hdds, etc.

i understand your predicament, being a die-hard AMD fan myself. but times have changed to favor intel. probably for now, though. the benchmarks say it all. core2duo and higher-end processors are the king of the pc-gaming road as of late. amd on the other hand, well... i'm sure they have something prepared for the future, especially now that we have processor limitation issues for the higher-end graphics cards. of course, intel won't let themselves be left behind either.

Oops kinda forgot I put this topic on -_-0, lol.

Anyway, to reply:
I've chosen that mobo because I probably wont go sli/xfire + indeed I've picked this one 2 months ago or more.
The PSU should be sufficient as it was recommended by the store owner. We used to had an AMD too, then switched back to intel (due to the AMD core being fried at that time). I don't know why we switched back. But considering the benchmarks now, I would find myself a little stupid to go for X2 when I can buy a core2duo which is almost equal in price (before release X2's ceiled the 1200 euros.)
I'm also sticking to the 8800. Normally I would have picked the x1900xt but it's outclassed for the same price by a dx10 card.

The price for this is... € 2500 more or less. Pretty much, but I think it's worth it. Thanks btw for the comments. Next time I'll post my config before I'll order :).

@anzeo

if you are not into gaming that much, or if you are into gaming but are not planning to max out the graphics settings (just decent enough to display those sprites and 3d polygons), then that specs would be good be enough. the most important thing in buying your rig is that you get to enjoy it... regardless of it not being the industry's top performer =)

Hmm is this mobo realy going to bottleneck my 8800gts?? Hope not.
It's ment mostly for working though, although I made sure I'd be able to play new and good releases.

it won't... at least not that significantly. specs-wise, it's good enough for office work unless you're into 3d modeling or intense video editing.

Like mikageryuji said, it won't indeed. Ofcourse there are better boards out there, but for a higher price too. In this range, yours is just fine.

I didn't say anything about the Striker, since it's way more expensive than the P5W DH Deluxe. I did meantion the quite similar P5N-E SLI. This board would indeed give you a better result in benchmarks, but again like mikageryuji said, you won't really notice that in practise.
