I like everything about AP and I don't want any of it changed, accept there are some bugs on AP. Like quoting on peoples user pages is not possible, as well as on walls. That and the edit button.

AstrayI dislike the fact that you need to make wall papers in order to download wallpapers. Most people that don't make wallpapers don't make them because they have no or very little artistic talent and don't wish to make anything that is not up to par with anything else here. As long as you contribute meaningful comments and join in groups and praticipate in the community you should be allowed to download stuff.
you are you get papers for posts and you are always able to donwload stuff wallpapers all you need is to be active, and if you dont make walls you could send in scans

ciboAlthough the possiblity of spamming is there, it would be nice to let group administrators send a single message to all group members at one time. This would save lots of time for the administrator when news is important enough to message all the members.
i agree with him..its very comfortable that admins..can send one message to members at the same time..
----also maybe adding some notification that looks like a bulb..when someone has post to your thread.in SZ

There should be a way for users who don't use their papers for scans and such, mostly because they don't know how to generate walls, to donate them to users who are maybe a little short and need a few to make thei next master piece!

Not only that, what I love most about AP is the culture that encourages learning and feedback-driven community. That motivates me to keep coming back. I never see AP as a place for free downloads, to me it's a place where I can showcase my work and grow from the feedback.
On my wishlist of functionalities/fixes:
- Ability to load walls in various aspect ratios e.g. 4:3, 5:4, widescreen, etc.
- Ability to edit gallery comments and allow reposting after deleting your own comments (known bug?)
- Ability to edit or delete userpage comments
Speed improvements on the galleries would be good too.

-search for resolution (I really like the new multi-res features!)
-being able to find all walls using certain scans (this one . . . might be tricky)
-an actual *rating* system (rather than a rating system based on number of posts, one based upon a grade given by commentors . . . or better yet, a members-only polling function that anyone who full views the wall can use to vote on an A to F scale without having to comment) (this one is probably a trickiest of them all!)

Also, a more organized mp3 grab forum would be nice. It's hard to remember which I've gotten and which I haven't because once someone posts, the topic is bumped to the top.

Paper Donating system for mid-low activity users that need some help would be cool.
Also a more user active ranking system like when you comment you select in a scale from 1 to 10 being 1 lowest and 10 highest quality before posting. This ALONG the actual system, so if a person download a wallpaper, and decides not to comment, there's still some credit to the author.

To be honest, I love AP just the way it is and would not change anything. There will always be things to improve and make AP better in the future, but as of right now I find it almost perfect in every aspect.
I would recommend some suggestions but they are very minor. They are also for my own reasons, and I don't want to be disrespectfull or selfish. If the changes I wanted were granted it wouldn't be fair for all the other hard workers on AP.
If AP does change in any way, I just hope it'll be for the best! ^___^

Okay...
i'm not sure if this has been said before but...
what if there was a better way to browse throught the galleries? like genres... because i might be looking for a dynamite scan of any mech, not just a certain one from one show... i think that would save time and help prevent fruitless scan searching. the same goes with the actual walls, say i like a show i might see walls that are of similar shows.
dunno its just a thought...

One thing I don't like about AP is it's loading time, especially in the Main Scans section, it takes about a minute for me to load :L

But the scripts used for the website is really laggy. I get unresponding javascript errors when viewing the list of anime with scans/wallpapers, because the list is so long.
Then the forum post delay turned me off as well. Two minutes (might have changed, not sure, haven't posted in a while) seems way too long. I can post in this thread, go to another thread and post, and to wait for a minute to see that I flooded.
