The first version got rejected because it was too simple, so now I added some manga scans in the left bottom corner. The theme is about Ishida's and Ichigo's past and how they've grown to become the strong persons they are today. I realize it's a bit full, but I like both the contrast child-teen, AND the contrast between the ordinary/supernatural-fighting-larger-than-life versions. I really wanted to show these three stages of their development. The text is the title of chapter 124, which is about Ishida's past.

The large Ichigo is CG'd by Stfun (have his permission) the other three are scans with A LOT of touchup work and redrawing:

Questions:
1) Is it good enough?
2) Is it too full? I experimented a lot with the composition, tried to fit everything in but also keep the cool, clean look with only three colours.

Well, it dosent look Halloweenish to me, but other than that its pretty nice. I dont like the crying little people with ichigo and ishida, thats just not how I see those two characters ecspecially since they are both quite powerful. I do like the cartoonish vectoring on the bottom but I just dont like the theme. Also the two characters on the left are too washed out and ichigo is standing on the text and thats distracting. It is Good just needs some touch ups.

Don't worry, it's photobucket which automatically resizes big files. The original is 1280 x 1024

I wanted to emphasize how much they've changed since childhood. I like the contrast between weak children and powerful adults.

I realli like the concept but yeh...get rid of the "Crying Little People"

the one thing i realli like is how the shadows work perfectly. the light being on the right side, it makes sense that ishida is all highlighted but ichigo who's standing in front will b in the dark with his bak illuminated (and also a bit of his right side from our perspective) XD

also, did the "a" in "Ishida" get cut off? move the text a bit 2 the left. =]
