Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!

So...who in here watches CDrama, JDrama, or KDrama? Just because we're anime fans doesn't mean we can't watch some good ol' drama. If you watch it, what are some of your favorites and why? You can even recommend these dramas to everyone!

I'll start first.

I watched a lot of CDrama, yes a lot, so let's see if I can pick out three that I remember most.

--- The first one would be The Return of the Condor Heroes '95. The one where Louis Koo and Carmen Lee are the act as the main role. There have been a lot of remakes of this but this one is still my favorite because it follows through with the storyline.
--- Second would be Detective Investigation Files IV by TVB with Louis Koo and Jessica Hsuan as the main role. I literally giggled in the middle and cried in the end. Plus, I like seeing those two on screen. Great chemistry.
--- Third would be A Step into the Past with Louis Koo and Jessica Hsuan as the main role again. Even though I had to fast forward some annoying parts but I watched just to see those two on screen.

I watched quite a few KDrama but I only remember two that I really liked. The rest was okay.

--- First is My Sassy Girl. You haven't watched KDrama if you haven't watched this movie. Hilarious movie and the main guy is so whipped.
--- Second is All About Eve. I think this was one of the few movies where the main girl doesn't sit down and cry every time something bad happens, so I was the very least annoyed when watching it.

Last is JDrama! I've only watched a few JDrama so there's only two that remained in my heart forever!

--- Great Teacher Onizuka, one of the best dramas out there. It really touched my heart and I cried in some of the episodes. I really wish I had a teacher like Onizuka, I'd be so eager to go to class. Hehe.
--- Second is Gokusen. Similar to GTO but the teacher is a woman this time, and she's from a Yakuza family. Plus, she teaches at an all-boys school. There was great chemistry between Yankumi (the teacher) and her students. And Matsumoto Jun who plays Shin was so cool.

After watching Gokusen, I decided to pursue Kimi wa Petto where Matsumoto Jun is the main character. Everyone said it was funny and hilarious so I had to see for myself. =D

I greatly recommend watching those dramas if you can get your hands on them, and waste the night away. =D

....

So what are your favorite C/J/KDramas? ^_^

I was exposed to CDrama since childhood and my favorite ones often took place in the ancient times of chinese history. I find the story plots in ancient times cdramas are much more intriguing. However, I am disappointed with the quality of CDramas nowadays. Half the time the story plots are senseless, the new actors don't really have strong acting skills...

I tend to watch a lot of JDrama now. I find JDrama to be very fun and entertaining. And their storylines are mostly very interesting and catchy. Although I admit, JDramas may be somewhat "overly peachy". But overall, JDramas are great source of entertainment.

As for Kdramas, I don't watch much of it. I think KDramas tend to be too long, repetitive, and too sad. It's not for me. The only KDrama I really like is "Full House"

pink-sakura, if you like Gokusen, you'll love these JDramas: "Trick 1-3", "Summer Snow" (fun show, but a lil sad), and "My Little Chef".

Mmmm.

I've watched CDrama ever since I was young, being Chinese and all. I've watched it in Hong Kong, and in Canada. I've watched many series, don't know exactly how much, over my whole life. I like the ones dealing with ancient times as well, I wonder if there's a more specific term for it. I'm not sure.

As for JDrama and KDrama, I don't have much experience with. I've watched My Sassy Girl (who hasn't? >.>) and some series that have been dubbed on Chinese channels, but thats about it.

Since Iâ??m Chinese, so I do watch CDrama since I was small. Anyway, last time I watched Hong Kong drama most of the time because my grandma like to watch it XD I canâ??t remember the title of the drama since there are too mush to be named. Talked about CDrama, most of the actor of the Hong Kong Drama are kinda same :)
Now, I prefer Taiwan Chinese Drama. Since it is in Mandarin and I canâ??t watch Hong Kong drama without the subs. My Cantonese are really badâ?¦:P

Talk about KDrama, I only watched a few of them. One of my friend is a big fan of KDrama, she even opened a site for her favourite actor, Jo Hyun Jae. Anyone know about him?
Iâ??ve watched All about Eve â?¦.it is ok and I like the story line...i think most korean actor are talented compare to those in Taiwanâ??s Drama.Anyway, thatâ??s only what I think.
One of my fav is Love Letter. It is not a well known KDrama, but it is very touching. My friend nearly cry after watching it.
Jewel In The Palace is very well known now, but I donâ??t have the time to watch it.There are also Winter Sonata,Hotelier,Autumn In My Heart,All Inâ?¦.well, thanks for my friend who talks about all this stuff in class instead of listening to what the teacher is teachingâ?¦
Anyway, if you guys can read Chinese, you can log on to www.koreanwind.net It is a forum and Iâ??m sure you guys can get lots of stuff there..XD ( I didnâ??t go there since Iâ??m not so into korean stuffâ?¦XD )

Ok, lastly, JDramaâ?¦.iâ??ve only watched a few of it and really like Love Vacation. It makes me love my piano more :D
Anyway, Great Teacher Onizuka is one of my favourite. I canâ??t really remember the story line since I watched it long time ago. But, it is nice.
I canâ??t name the favourite JDrama of mine since I only know the title in Chinese. Thatâ??s all for me now! :)

Nice thread.
I watch CDrama, KDrama more than JDrama.
I like korean series more though. They do their dramas in a more cinematic way. Thy are pretty good at depicting the emotions of every character, and storylines.

Some of my favorite Kdramas would be ...
All About Eve, Endless Love 1-4

Some popular Cdramas include ..
Meteor Garden.

korean movies are great too.

Oh and I am currently watching Gokusen.
It's pretty interesting for the first episode, so I am heading on to get the rest.
Does anyone know where I can get episode 9? I have torrent files from 1-8 and 10. except the 9 :(

There's a lot of those kinds of series here in my country... but i never watch them mainly because most of the plots are cliches and most of the characters are cheesy... i've watched full house and i really liked it... but that's about it

well, i do agree that Meteor Garden is popular, but do you guys who watch the drama think that the acting is bad? F4 is not that popular now...and i don't like the CDrama they are acting, including Meteor Garden 2, Marmalade Boy(by one of the member of F4 ). my friends like them a lot...not me. hope i don't offend anyone.

Yeah I have to agree with some of the comments in here. CDrama nowadays have been going downhill. But I think the same goes for KDrama. I haven't been able to find a good CDrama or a good KDrama. There was one KDrama where it takes place in the ancient times and the ending was great but the middle was so irritating. Forgot the title, but the main character in there is historical, about a woman who's the first in Korean history to do surgery and stuff.

By the way, watching Kimi wa Petto and I must say it is so cute and funny. Matsujun's role took a 180 degrees from the cool, calm leader of 3-D, Shin, to the hyper and outgoing pet, Momo. If you want to watch it, go to Google and type in "Kimi wa Petto Torrent". You should find a site torrent labeled "JTV" or something. Kimi wa Petto 1-10 torrent is available there.

Also, I heard there's a Season 2 for Gokusen Drama. Sadly, none of the 3-D students are returning except for Kuma 'cause he owns the noodle shop. With the ending in Gokusen S1, I was hoping that at least half of the students returned. I'm no so excited about Season 2 after seeing the reviews. Everything in Season 2 seems repetitive and a copy of Season 1. After all, no one can replace class 3-D leader, Sawada Shin. Well, once SARS-fansubs subbed it, I'll have to see for myself.

Ooh... i've been watching more jdramas than anime recently.

I just saw the first episode of Gokusen 2 and was extremely dissapointed that only Kuma from the previous 3D class was in it. I miss Shin and was expecting him to be in it because of what he said in the last episode of Gokusen. I'm hoping that it will at least get more interesting in future episodes.

Other jdramas I'm watching right now is the new one where Tsuyoshi of Smap is in... Koi ni Ochitara. It was completely different from what I expected it to be and I decided to watch it after seeing a spoof of Katsuken on SmapxSmap that had it.

And Pride where KimuTaku is in, although I haven't seen the next episode yet.

You are welcome. ^^ I believe the .srt torrents are the subs. Some media files there need you to mix the videos and the subtitles together by yourself.

My brother laughs at me for being fond of watching C/J/K Drama. Started about a year ago when I got bored of watching the usual reality shows. I don't speak Chinese, Japanes or Korean so I am stuck with subtitles. Fortunately some of the shows at our local asian channel have subtitles. I am currently following a KDrama titled "Super Rookie". It has drama, romance and comedy.
