AH-HA! Whether age matters or not is mostly dependent on cultural and societal mores. Currently, Western society has a hard-on on "pedophilia" which they often incorrectly label--pedophilia deals with a mental illness wherein someone is sexually attracted to PRE-PUBESCENT males or females. Someone 18 dating a 15 year-old is NOT pedophilia, though in the US, it may violate statuary and age of consent laws.
I'm 40 and my wife is 19 years younger. I married her when she was 18, and age WAS NOT an issue. In her society (Muslim), women marrying older men is quite common.

I think 4-5 years difference to my age is what I'd go for, although I prefer someone my age, but hey, we never know who we will fall for.

I can go with women way older than me... I have no problem with that.
But young... since I'm only 17, going out with girls younger than me would be kinda wrong.

Well, the problem is that if you are a minor, it's taboo for you to date an older person, and viceversa. It's just taboo. But, I would only date someone's who 2 years older or younger than me. I don't want her to be too childish, but neither too old. Plus, it's just neat that way ;D

Well, I'm Korean.. and I'm not sure how much the age thing matters in our culture. I'm kinda white-washed. heh.
But anyways, I'm sooo bad in relationships. I guess I'll go out on a few "dates" before I get around to sorting my feelings out.

I definitely think that as you get older age gaps become less relevant. Currently I am 26 and would be willing to date people maybe within 3 years give or take. It's just a matter of if you have something in common with the other person. Personally I find myself relating to people younger than me more than people my own age, however I have also found myself relating to people older than me as well. The age gap is a hard line to walk on, but it's doable.

Well, at 16 i would not want to go out with people 2 years younger than me, but I guess its fine if i go out with a 18-19 year old. I go out with a chick thats younger than me by 2 months, so its all good. But if i went out with a 13 year old, i would look like a... well, you know. :P
Reallt if you think about it why should age matter?...i think if you and someone really love eachother the what the hell go for it...if someone has a problem then f#$k them...have fun ;)

I really don't think age matters in a relationship, it all depends upon the girl and the guy if they make things work... i know that there are consequences, like how will your folks accept the guy or girl, or how people will react to this kind of relationship... but if you really love each other, you'll find a way to make things possible... ^_^
for me, having an older partner is good... you'll be more loved and taken care of, bec the guy has more experience than you are... or vice versa

Nope, age shouldn't matter. Minus if your a 21 year old actress dating a 71 year old, and you hate his guts out but only wants him for his money. Cough cough.

Personally, I think up to 10 years is a good range. I'm currently 23, and I have no problem seeing a 33 year old, but on the flip side, 13 is probably a no no. I think the most important thing in a relationship is to come to a mutual understanding of your feelings.
