Does age really matter?

I think as well of a age difference should only be limited to 5 years. But min age should be about 16 i think or you'll be mistaken for a lolicon.
I agree that you should set a minimum... it is illegal to knowingly screw an underage where I live.
Regardless, for me, I don't believe it particularly matters how old your proposed other half is assuming that is simply a guy girl relationship and that you do not intend to get married, have kids etc and go the full way. It is all about getting the "motorbike" into the "garage" afterall.
If you are, well, I think, if you're really conscious about these sorts of things, it might be a good idea for a guy to be a bit 4 or 5 years older because girls tend to become more mature quicker and you won't get the same level of conversation until a lot later on and by then, if you don't believe in divorce, you're pretty much stuck.

For me, age doesn't really matter as long as you really love the person and that you're willing to do everything for that person instead of liking someone for their money, looks etc. Although I do agree with Pookychan.
Well i really dunn understand why You people care about age ^^. Love is not about age. Love is about love. Of course we have to respect law - but trully i belive person under 18 is to young for relationship anyway (i mean real relationship not dates ^^). My husband is 10 years older than me - and I see na touble with that. To be truth i find older man's more atractive - They're not stupid kids anymore jumping from party to party. He he well... so people - look for your love and don't care the age.

Well i'm okay with people that are older than me by 3 to 4 years but no one that is younger than me because i find people that are younger than me very immature and inexperience which tend to lead to a boring relationship.
well everyone have their different view on age and relationship. Some people are fine with people that are older than them by a large gap and some are fine with people that are younger than them. I think the age relationship is a personal issue.

Actually, I've once gone on a date with a man who is fourteen years older than me! Though, I tend to stick to people who are usually less than eight years older than me. So, I really don't think an age difference of nine years is a big deal. If you love someone, it shouldn't be barred because of a strange age difference^^ I hope that helps!

Some reason I have a problem with people my age or a bit older than me. I guess it's because of my interests and such that they don't find appealing, I am an anime lover after all. Personally though, I would rather date a girl up to five or six years younger just because they are in that stage when they are impressable, or innocent. I guess the thought of doting on and loving a girl of that age in a relationship kinda way is really exciting, like, you can protect them, they;re still young and you're older, so you can make sure that things that happened when you were growing up like bad choices, bullies, and tragedies can either be avoided or guided through. ((I'm 18, btw)) does that make any sense?
I don't think i can really set a rule for age my GF now is 9 years older than i am, i think the important thing is that the emotional age is closer that way you have things in common i've seen many relationsships with a large age gap, where one likes to go to the bars and party, and the other like to stay at home, or just go out to dinner. even if age is different emotional age is a important part. where one is more mature and the other is less mature (not in a bad way) than their age generally is. I think setting an age rule is just annoying or at least following it i didn't think i'd want ot date soem one that much older than i am either but it's working out very well. it's important not to limit yourself just because of age, if you want to go out with some one then do it.

Age does in fact matter. I mean, would it be right for an eight year old girl to date a twenty year old guy? I believe a good age range is within at least two years or less for those under eight. Once you hit that age, no one younger than two years, and older than ten at the most. I don't understand why the devl we have people out there willing to date so young and so old. O_o It makes no damn sense in the slightest.

Well, I find it good to date in a 5 year younger/older range. One reason is because I think you want die too early before your wife, or want your wife to die too early before you. This at least allows a possible longer relationship. Though some people like to date men/women far younger/older.
For me it would be an atleast 3 or 4 years older then me.
