I can't say my name because it is to unusual. You could find me quite easily. My name was chosen by my mother because she got it from some fantasy book.

My name was chosen based on family tradition as well as wanting me to be brave and successful in life.
I dont know well my dad names is carlos too...and my older brother is carlos also...so i guess i become like the THIRD carlos in my generation!? lol...but then again...i am KARLOZ... loL...better version of the past carlos's lOL...i guess my dad just wantd to keep his boys with his name....which in my opinion is stupid...lol...but im happy wit my name...its ME!...
I was gonna get the name 'Mahwish' but my dad found out that there is an Iranian dancer with the same name soo, i got 'Sumayyah' instead xD It means 'Pride' and has a bit of religious significance to it as well :)

My name, David, was chosen because my father was also named David, so yeah pretty generic. However, my middle name, Lyle, was named because my mother loved to watch a comedy show with a character she tended to like, named Lyle as well.
My dad named he.
He's bad at naming us kids.
There are five of us and each or our names follow this H_____-Yen pattern. Yen is from my mom's name, and the "H" i guess is just a random Vietnamese word.
I think he stopped getting any good ideas because on my 2nd brother, he just put our last name (also begins with an H) and added a "Yen" to the end. *sigh* What kind of name is th at?
And each of us also have the same middle names toO!

I was named after my ninth aunt Rebecca Faythe who died of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome a day after she was born. Coincidently, I also have a third cousin named Rebecca Faythe.

They always say that they just liked the name but it means Grandmother of someone great. Am I supposed to be proud of that? My middle name is my Aunt who introduced my Mom to my Dad first name.

Colin, No idea. I never really thought about it. My middle name is Alan, which is my dad's first name, so that's where I'm guessing it came from.

My name is Zheng Yang (pronouced "zen young"). In Chinese, it's 正阳. Apparently, I was born around noon, so they cleverly decided to call me "under" (Zheng) "sun" (Yang). My brother on the other hand was born around midnight, so they called him "under" (Zheng) "stars" (Xing).
Hrmmm... well my name is Alejandro - Alex or Ale in short. According to family tale I came in a dream to my mother before I was born and told her I wanted to be named Alejandro. So she did.
Do I like it? Sure. I love it. I like the variants like Iskander or Alistair. Wouldn't change it for anything. But... Im a firm believer in the power of words and their meaning. And from time to time the meaning of my name feels like a burden to me.

My name is Tabatha. I'm not quite sure why, since my mom and dad died before I could ask them, but I think it was chosen after a tv show (Bewitched) that came out around that time. My older sisters are not sure either but have said my mom used to be interested in erm, witchcraft; nothing bad but I guess something freaked her out eventually because once my brother and I came along she didn't mess with it anymore.
So anyway, maybe she felt a connection to the show, since it was about a witch. Thats my best guess anyway. My mom changed the spelling slightly and apparently made everyone swear not to call me Tabby....so of course thats what everyone calls me! ^_^ My mddile name is Ann. Um...I think it just went with it as all my sisters middle names are pretty standard too.
