Swords or Guns?

Depends on whom I am going to kill? :O *joke*
Actually, I dislike all kinds of weapons. But if I had to chose, it would be a sword -- more dramatic and beautiful. :)

Gun! It gets the job done faster. lol

It all depends...Well for me I like sword...It brings out a person's true nature...You know? Also because it takes skill and consistency in order to wield the sword correctly...And through that it would teach us that the stronger person know its important to forgive than it is to fight...It makes us appreciate life more...Well this is how I feel...about it sorry if I didn't make any sense xD

It really depends what types of gun or sword, and also depends on what kind of battle, it's really hard to say prefer gun or sword

I'm partial to knives, being compact and very deadly regardless. Some small pistols are favorites, like certain guns from Walther.

I'll voted for sword!!
What on earth can you do with a gun except shooting from far which may kill your enemy at a far distance? A sword is cooler coz one can show his/her skills and it also shows that one is brave to atk in a near range position rather than gunners!
Besides..swords can be used to block bullets..which is so cool ^^

I think it all depends on circumstances but in the end I think a gun would be better. But I do like swords better since you do need skill and they just kick ass. But for actual combat guns are just the way to go in this day and age.
What?!? Preposterous!! There are only options to like one or the other, where's the third box where you can tick "like neither". And what?!? although this topic is about liking one or the other some people mention their preferred possession of said weapons, please think of the big picture! If I have to choose one, it'd be neither! as we all know weapons are used for the sole purpose of harming/injuring/killing people which is sad

It's the same thing as in the old timey days when crossbows gained great use because it was just too easy to shove one in the hands of a peasant and point him in the right direction. Instant armies. We still train our armies hard, but let's face it. You would take years..a lifetime to train somebody to fight effectively and efficiently with a sword, but take a month or two of training, and you can get an army shooting a collection of rifles effectively. Not to mention range...Range is always good. The lack of drawbacks that archery presented...Altogether, rock beats scissors, and gun beats just about all (Except for bigger guns, I suppose.) A blade will always have its place...no jamming, no ammo, always a fallback..but guns take the main stage.

I believe using a sword would be more noble, however if you were going by today then I would have to say a gun. Sword's would obviously never hold up in battle against a gun, as guns are a lot quicker to the kill.
Weh! I'm currently watching Claymore. And I love it when they swish their swords. Especially when they're having a fight with a sword user also. <D'ya get the point?> Anywei, swords are way cooler than guns. Be-da.^^

I would say each has its own charme but guns are preferred by me. Infact I also love some kind of swords like the arabian Scimitar or the japanese Katana. SO I like both ;).
I like guns better. Try to be realistic nowdays any war is using gun. Sword, blades, and knives are only being use in close arms combat whenever you don't have any sidearms weapon or you're run out of ammo.

Or have a super combo sword gun knife, A gun that shoots knives and has the hilt of a samurai sword.....patent pending no one steal my idea for the sword gun knife.
