Swords or Guns?

...I have this feeling I'm not the only one strongly reminded of a certain Western sci-fi anime with gunslinging (...sort of) girls and swordsmen with mechas. XD
Anyhow, it all depends on what you want and what you're looking for in a weapon. Swords look really cool, whether in your hand or on your wall, but if you want to actually learn how to USE one, you would have to take lots of lessons and watch yourself, because swords, like most things, are dangerous in careless hands.
Same goes with guns, which are easier to master and are more common nowadays. But they're better for long-range.
As for me, I like both. I can't choose. But if I had to, I'll go with the sword.

for one reason i think taht sword is cooler than a gun..
in anime series the sword is as big as the wielder...
one slash or hit can cause major damage...
guns in the othe hand may have advantage in long-range attacks...
but when the gun is out of ammo it take time to reload..
where the sword in this case dont need to reload...

anime = sword+gun.
games = guns+ another gun + knife + dagger.

In anime Swords are ALWAYS cooler then guns. Always better too (unless you watch Black Lagoon. lol). But in real life, sword versus a gun is rather silly cuz you'll be shot before you reach the person with a gun. -_-

Your friend is right, gun is more superior consider the speed and rate of killing. But if comparing a person use sword to attack and a person use gun to attack then of course, the person use sword is more superior than the person use gun since it requires more skill and agility.
Just like you, I like sword more than gun. First of all it's beautiful and flexible. Second, there is art in making a sword and using a sword. Third, there's history in a sword more than in a gun.

Genrally I would go for a sword as I like the look of them more and also deaths look much cooler with a blade.
However for the quick easier kill it's all about a gun really. Hello Desert Eagle :)

Swords cause i find them infinetly more sexy than guns. Guns lack a certain finesse... now swords, you need grace for them!
But in this day and age, i'll take a gun thanks ;) But i still prefer swords!

Situations aside, in my opinion guns are better. It may just be my unconscious fear of being near people who aren't fond of me but I prefer long range weapons.
