Today i talket with a friend about Art and wich one ist the best and can show the most emotions of the artist.
What are you think is the best, there are so many so i cant really say that one is the best.
I think Music and Paintings shows the most emotions the one throught the eye and the other throught the Heart.

Music shows the best emotion..i play piano and i put my mood in it..if i didnt then eventough i play well the song its not goona be interesting because it doesnt have life!
hmmmm...drawing...its also a good art that needs emotion..i cant draw..my drawing sux..but i know..if you want your drawing to be alive..u have to draw with your heart..just like music..

No such comparison, I believe and deeply so that all art represents and is able to show an emotion, those that don't however, clearly shows the lack of enthusiasm from the artist.
All art showcases the feelings of the author, and I think it is very hard to describe there is One particular art form that best ensures that emotion to get through.
Frankly, I thought Piano was the most mundane piece of emotional art form I ever heard, mainly cause I haven't heard anything as good as 5th, or maybe I just lack that expression.
I thought a good drama is good way of presenting, humans are a visual hungry thing, movies are best in terms of art form to represent emotions on the story, and the way the producer, storywriter and director would have wanted it.

I have to agree on music. And the piano is an excellent choice to show emotions and how people feel, but so does the violin. I think all kinds of music show different emotions. Like how metal music, especially thrash metal, shows anger for the most part. XD! And other music like classical brings about soft ambient tones. And pop music is the kind of music that makes me happy and bouncy! So I choose music because how diverse it is.
I believe music is the best way to represent emotion. But that's just me.
Piano is by far my favorite instrument. The way notes can flow from it is amazing. I love how the piano has an extremely long range too :D

I think that if an artist is good, he/she can put a lot of emotion into any medium.
Music is a simple choice because it is easy to show emotion with music.
But I find that much emotion can be portrayed through other art forms such as paintings, drawings(especially gestural or abstract), and sculptures as well - they are often harder to "read" however.

owh i don't think so..i play piano and its not easy to put my emotion in it..its like...u have to really be sad if the music is sad..eventough ure not sad at that time..so its quite hard for me..maybe not for you..but it is for me

Music can make people sad, angry or happy but i never fought about how difficult it is to show emotions in your play and that every time you do it...thats amazing.
I never play an instument so i cant even think about how hard it is, i only draw and paint but that good that people can see emotions in it.

It's all a matter of preference I guess
I didn't mean that ANYONE can show emotion through music; what I meant was that it is easiest for people to recognize/read emotion in music as opposed to other art forms such as 2D art that can be harder to interpret.

Large]I think music will do it[/large]
since emotions can be effected mostly by hearings than seeings. Well...maybe because it connects directly to our heart, lol :P

The music kind...when you put your feelings into song, or even just sing a song, that's showing a lot of emotion. Some of you may not agree with me, but that's my opinion, and i gotta say that it's TRUE.

I disagree because the human can express emotion so easily through speech, action and expression but to play an musical instrument or paint/draw takes alot more because paintings and drawings cant speak to say what they represent, you most show emotion and feeling through colour and brush storks, through lines and shadows.
I paint, not as much as I'd like but when "inspiration" finds me It's so consuming that I can't stop myself I just have to get it out of my system! When people today look at works by great artist like Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, El Greco, Botticelli,Fragonard etc they simply see pretty pictures and don't take the time to understand what the artist was feeling at the time he/she painted it.
Take for instance a quarrel I had with a fellow art student on Michelangelo's David. All she saw was a naked man but that is the last thing he intended you to see, he was showing his appreciation and awe for being so wonderfully made. The beauty of the human body and it's makeup. Sadly most people are like that friend of mine, they can't see beyond the obvious! which is so sad because the real appreciation comes from seeing what is not readily seen in the work of art.
When one truly loves to paint/draw and is not merely using a gift they have; they transfer a piece of their soul into their work, a piece they can never get back but have chosen to give to the world. Once I destroyed my whole portfolio because it was meted out a less that favourable review by my then art professor. After I calmed down and realized what I had done I felt so empty; and still do somewhat to this day! I had destroyed a big part of my soul, lost part of myself I could never regain. I could not see them and remember, I now had to rely on memory to do so; and as time passed they would fade and those parts of my soul gone with no way to relive them. It takes real guts to put yourself on display like that; that is why I would pick painting/drawing but it's just my humble opinion.
Painting & Writing.
I can't see the artists feelings in anything else. But that's just me.

Oh goodness, I completely forgot about literature >.<
Shame on me for forgetting something so important =/ Yeah, writing is THE BEST way to express emotion. But the only problem is that it's not so much expressing emotion as it is explaining it =P Still though, I like it :D Go Hawthorne!
