US currency:
I suddenly realized something and correct me if am wrong, but on every US currency there is written: "In God We Trust". Now, America is religious country with like 65-80% of the people believing in God. The congress and the "people" as they say try to do what God tells them to or want them to. What these leads is to how America used there own money, with "God" and "Trust" written on every single dollar, to pay or give money to people who would use that money to kill. Like in the Afghanistan they paid Ben Laden, and etc... And how people use this money to purchase drugs/hookers/weapons/assassins/etc........... every day, when it says "In God we trust" on them. Now, would you ever step on the picture of Jesus Christ or just his name? Well, isn't having "God" on money is just like using Jesus pictures as money, would you ever think of people paying with a picture of Christ to pay for a murder, weapon, drug, etc...? What are your thoughts on this?
Edit:
What do you think about religios people who let God be put on money? If you belive in God, what do you thuink about his name on money?

I think people who kill or harm others probably either don't care about or believe in God. I think that's why it is so humorous when someone from the Mafia is always shown on tv as loving Christ. Kind of ironic.
I may not have replied to what you were asking.. but I've read your comment 3 times, and I think I'm kinda confused about what you were asking.. heh. ^_^'

Yeh, I was afraid of that you be confused, but I am not really asking any question, I guess. I just want to point out how people can believe so much into religion and then so easily go absolutely against it. An antire country if not half the world (that is America been so rich that its currency is everywhere) is basicly disrespecting God. I am not religios, and I have no faith, but I find this very ironic and interesting at the same time.

I...ur...umm...well...? but seriously, I cant completely understand what your saying sorry, i don't know if that's cause you wont it a bit odd or if its cause I'm not a religious. like you asked "Now, would you ever step on the picture of Jesus Christ or just his name?" well sorry to up set christian's but I would, it's just a pitcher of him or a word to me(not Christan), now don't get me wrong I woutant step on it to spite anyone but its just paper to me. God is an intady, not paper(that sounded so much better in my head before I typed it).
the only reason why "in god we trust" is on money cause when the idea of putting "in god we trust" there was freedom of religion, but most of it was Christan,Christans that dint think the would would be like it is now, thot it would be happy Christan fun time you know?
[sigh] I don't think I answer this correctly, I'm not good at discussing religion over the net. But I believe the only reason its on there, is cause they were anal retentive Bible betters, and there's no way there ever going to change, people would throw a fit.

When I went overseas to America, I saw "In God We Trust" on some of the money I had. I never really thought about it. Does it really influence the public by just a a few words on the note? I don't think so as I would think no one would care and only care about spending the money. That was I thought about it when I spent the American money. From recent events, the evidence is clear that no one really takes the American dollar seriously. For example in Afganistan. But can you really say they are disrespecting God - well not everyone anyways. That would be jsut generalising. So maybe just the government? But I can't really say much as I'm not that religious of a person... ~ O.o

I find it apalling that people all over the world are doing bad things to their fellow human in the name of God. Do they honestly believe that God will tell them that they are right when they meet face to face with God? How arrogant can you be to be thinking that you do those stuff for God, that God actually need any of you to do any thing for Him/Her?
I never payed attention to the dolar bill but we use god too much what about the people who dont believe in him. I think its fine because it their own ignorance that this i happing wiht the name of god on it.
Personally I don't care. I mean are you going to burn down all the churches and mosques because people who aren't of that religion have to look at it? It's on there so just leave it there. Now removing "Under God" from the pledge of allegiance I agree with because it wasn't there in the first place.
Actually (the love of) money is supposed to be the root of all evil, so it's a tad bit ironic to have "in god we trust" written on it =)

I'm so tired of people and their gods. I really do not beleive that any one on earth has any clue as to how life started or what it even is.
Who knows what space is. It could be a cellar level creature of a bigger creature...
how big is big? how small is small?
We only base things on relativity.
10 foot tall is tall because its over our heads. Thats a measurement we base on the relative size to us.
Humans said heaven was in the sky before we ever went into orbit. Thats an idea relative to where we were in our own awareness in the universe.
I dont think humans have any idea what "god" is.
I think we all generally want to be good, but we also want to be special, and we do bad things to each other to be special.
We use "god" as a way to control each other, to create a standard of behavior.
We use god as a weapon of war, a weapon of peace...
I dont trust people who say they know what god wants, or is. They are just human beings, just like me. I never hear a message from god... anyone claiming they have, is insane.
I'm not arrogant enough to claim i know god's wishes. If god is so great, and powerfull, i'll let him or her speak for him/her self.
Meanwhile i'll go on living my life being kind to others and respectful of the planet.
But the one thing i can not tolerate is other human beings saying they are doing "God's" work.
Thats like me saying "i'm doing Luke Skywalker's work"
Its a book written by humans...
Look at the US government. We have the "religious" president and yet he does not want to help people by fixing the healthcare problem. oh i could go on about this... i wont :)
But most powerful people touting love for god, have been self serving hypocrites

I think it was an attempt to "purify" money
or
There's the whole Free Mason relationship to dollar bill
(refer to movie "National Treasure"-did I say t right?)
and Free Masons are somewhat religious, eh?
Also, in may not be Christian God.
In Korean national anthem, there is a part that goes:
"May God protect us".
they are not referring to Christian God.
They are referring to a God in general,
a universal figure that is almighty.
So, in conclusion, not a big deal, something we can live with.

Well, when the United States was first created, everyone believed in God, so it was only right to put it in. Now, I don't really find it ironic that US money says "In God We Trust" and then some people use that money to go against what God said was right. I mean, it was inevitable that it would be used like that. Nothing only has positive uses. Everything can be used positively and negatively. And if they use money for bad things, God will punish them in the end. So it doesn't really offend me. I don't think it affects anyone else either, because most of the world believes in God, and other parts of the world that don't believe in God believe in some sort of god.
I don't find it ironic. No one cares about "In God we Trust" on all our bills. Most of the time we just ignore it...occassionally there are lobbyists for taking it off the bill for speration of church and state, but on the whole, no one cares. Church and state in the US isn't completely spereated, and in the cases that they aren't...normal people just see it as too insignificant to actually care. I mean, every session of congress opens with a prayer performed by minisaries from all different religions.
But I digress, money is money across the world. And the use of money overseas has to be converted to other currencies, etc... They aren't specifically handing over the US Dollar. And if money can be converted, what's printed on a specific bill means little doesn't it? I mean...it's all just money.
The line of association only seems kind of diluted.

We paid Bin Laden because that was in the '80s, in the middle of the Cold War, and the Soviet Union had invaded Afghanistan.
