This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

OK... Why do people always make an issue between MANGA and ANIME. They are similar in some way but why do people always pair these up in an argument. Naturally [in anime world] when a new series is released or aired, it always has its manga version, or the other way around, when a new book is released, an animated version of it will be aired.

Well, except maybe for the sake of argument but WHY?

WELL to me, Manga or Anime, whatever it is, it's fun. Whether you're reading your favorite serie or watching it it just doesn't matter. Their differences is that some of the characters (in animated) are omitted or a scene is missing from its manga counter part. Or some of the characters (in manga) are also omitted or a scene is also missing from its animated counter part. It might be better to buy the DVD volume and the whole Manga book if you think that you're getting off track of the story.

SO...MANGA? ANIME? or ANIME&MANGA?

you have a point, both of them are fun.

but a lot of times we see that the complete story is not shown in the anime, the anime ends abrubtly or prematurely, whereas the polt develops deeper in the manga. many a times, an anime just touches the tip of the iceberg, as far as the actual plot is concerned, most probaly becuse it must be a big job converting a manga into an anime. i.e Getbackers, Furuba, Spiral, Tactics, even Inuyasha and countless others did not provide the complete answers in the anime, and the dedicated fans have to inevitably read the manga.

for me, its Anime&Manga!

LOL, trust me if everyone is like you. There is no need for me to have pop-corn next to me reading some forums. LOL
That's make all of us unique and fun to read those forums. (I need more pop-corn)

For me, it's anime and manga because you could know the whole story and you could differenciate it with one another. in my case, i already have a problem with my collection coz i had to get a room for all of it

For me I like both. Yes, there are people who think that anime is better than manga or the other way around. But to me I think reading both it great. Some anime loses track of the manga version, but anime cuts to the sotry. Manga is with some of the artists or writers personal writings in there too making , or I think, the manga version a bit long in a way. Reading both it great for you to know the whole story and be a guru at it. XD

Simply put...more times than not...one sucks terribly compared to the other :)
Production costs, business risks, etc, etc.....too bad.

There's always the rare occasion that both are good, though...

I've gotta say I like anime better. If every single manga series was turned into anime, then I wouldn't even bother to look at manga. But I like reading the stories that don't make it to the tv screen, so I do have some manga.

Manga delivers the content better in my opinion, especially in humor factor. of course, if you pay attention only to action genre, of course you're going to like anime better. it really boils down to your preferences in genre as it is highly correlated. for example, i know more people that enjoy fruit baksets or ouran high school host club, or honey and clover manga over anime (despite it being really good in anime form). the reason is that sometimes the anime changes the origional manga story around (usually for the worst), or the anime ends too short, whereas the manga keeps going a bit longer.

They probably need to distinguish anime from manga so its not a complete copy of one another. Might give them bad reviews see?

Usually, I like manga better because more often than not, they make changes into the plot, the characters, etc... in the anime (they add new characters, make the story less violent or bloody and so on), but well, there are animes that are way better than their manga versions.
Also, sometimes the animes have low budget, managing to get a third rate production (like xxxHolic, where the plot was good but the animation quality... was really awful).

I love both, but I can understand why someone would favor one over the other, even to the point of completely dismissing one. Depends on the background of the person really. An avid reader would most likely enjoy manga over anime, a TV watcher would most likely enjoy anime over manga.

Someone who's really into action stuff would probably prefer anime over manga, since action is very difficult to make "move" on a page (especially with no color). Someone who prefers more mature stories could easily gravitate to manga and dismiss anime entirely. Not that anime doesn't have it's fair share of them, but compared to manga...well, there is no comparison. In Japan manga is much more popular than anime, so a wider variety of them are written. Whereas anime is usually targeted at the kid, the family, or the geek.

Anime and manga is same in importance, some anime isn't clear enough without read it's manga or manga isn't clear enough without watching it's anime. :)

Both, but it's reather hard to get manga from where I live so it's easier to watch the anime.
