Mai Hime vs. Otome

I think I liked Mai-Hime more but it really is close. Both were great series in my opinion
Mai Otome for me.
Reasons:
1. I'm not that impressed with mai hime
2. I watched mai otome after mai hime, and the appearances of the old characters gives some kind of a nostalgic feeling to this show :P
3. I like the story more, politics, dream, and wonderful bonds of friendship. Ahh, nothing like a tale of friendship...
4. One of the best endings i've ever seen
well, if there's anything in mai hime that beats mai otome, it's the soundtrack... "mezame" is simply the best song i've ever heard from Yuki Kajiura...

Mai Otome is better simply because...someone DIED!
I was thinking that "man, mai hime is so good cuz sh*t loads of people died..." but NO! they came back to life...i mean seriously WTF?!? Arent dead people supposed to remain dead.
And somehow, i felt myself nearly crying (yes a tear escaped) while watching mai otome but with mai hime, i dont know. Of course, im not saying mai hime is crap but i just think that mai otome is better

The way i see it, Mai Hime is more interesting than Mai Otome. Mai Hime has a lot more action scene and the girls are more beautiful than mai otome. The story development and the music is also better than the sequel.
Mai HIME is way better than Mai Otome... but I don't dislike Mai Otome at all...
For me it's kinda tossed up. Mai HiME was great cause of the relationship aspects as well as, at the time, original story line. I like Otome cause the character designs are simply amazing and the story is just as great including the fact that the OVAs are adding to it. Cant really decide if you ask me.
I'd have to say Mai Hime, it had funny moments as well as better fighting. =D

I've always like Mai Hime. It has simpler storyline and greater characters. Mai Otome is still good though but I would still prefer Mai Hime.
Mai HiME. In my opinion it just had better characters and much greater music. The only real song I enjoyed in Otome was Materialize. By the end of Otome I just lost interest, and to be honest I can't even recall the ending to Otome.

Mai-hime was definitely a lot better than Mai-Otome! I mean some parts were cool for Otome with the rings and earrings and stuff but a good idea needs to be executed well. In Hime, the fights were so much better and the character development was a lot better in Hime than in Otome. I also didn't like how they reused the characters the way they did in Otome, it just didn't seem good.
I'd say Mai Hime, the story was much better than Otome.
Though I liked the moves from Otome better for some reason. But... Mai's dragon with the sword through his head alone outruled this a bit, lol. < understatement!
One thing I really missed in Otome was the star which comes closer to earth tbh. :( And the characters where confusing in the beginning xP guess I watched Otome too soon after Hime, heh.

Mai hime is more better than mai otome, what i can say is, the character of mai hime like, shizuru, natsuki, mai, mikoto, appear in the otome like nothing special bout it...useless...and mai otome is not a second season for mai hime, i don't know why they used back the character of mai hime, if can just make all new character on the anime of mai otome. din't you guys notice one thing? like mai, natsuki, this few characters like to dress sexy...i hate it...something like spoiling the character...i really like mai hime than mai otome, is really disappointment for this animation, i heard about mai hime got movie, haven't release yet? is continue of mai hime, i was waiting for it...
