This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

Hi! I would like some advice for this wall. I don't have access to "advanced" art programs like PSP or Photoshop. I use PhotoImpact SE 4.0 to make walls. I feel this wall needs alot of help. Advice on anything & everything you see that needs to be different is appreciated very much! ^_^

Thank you very much~!

Wow! what program did you use? Painter? It looks almost like a scanned drawing, but it has a digital-ness to the sketchy-ness. Of course you did immediately get my attention when I saw the name, "Kos-Mos", but this looks a lot different than other Xenosaga walls. Dernit, now I wish I had brought a PS2 with me. >_< Anyway, Nice job on the colors and style. The only problem is probably nulled by the rest of the image, or unless it was your intent, is the little white specks around Kos-Mos's hair. My eyes keep getting drawn to them for some reason...

The texture is nice, and I like how her skin is unblemished...but maybe you could find some way of varying the texture a little more? Not sure what your program is capable of though...but yeah, anyways you could vary the texture and maybe add a little depth would be good. =p

Thank you! Yes, this image of KOS-MOS is from Xenosaga 3~! I have yet to beat 2. Anyway, the "white specks" were "stars" that I used first then I cloned KOS-MOS onto the image. I used PhotoImpact SE 4.0 for this, though I recieved Painter Classic with my tablet - it does not work on my computer! ( I have a used Win98 with 10GB of space! X0 ) I will work on it. Thank you, again! ^_^

Thank you! I used a splatter & paint brush using different colours that went with her outfit. My program comes with various textures that I could use. I will play around with that. ^_^

Too grainy. you might want to find better textures to use to spice this up a bit more. so it's not soo empty.
adding a text might help.
also... Blending can be done better maybe if you use different layers, and use the eraser tool to erase certain parts that you don't want.

good luck!

PS. i would like to remind you though.. .that your signature has to say your name on AP. or else you have to tell the moderators why the name in your signature might be different.

Thank you for reminding me! I nearly forgot. ^_^;;; I'm also not 100% sure how to use the Layer Manager on my program but I'll have to play around with it I suppose.

The whole black specky lookin thing doesn't look right to me xP. It really just looks like you took an airbrush style brush and had fun with it. Try starting from scratch, see what else you can do.

Aagh! O_o I still love it, and the textures are quite nicer. But did you accidentally smear Kos-Mos's bodysuit? Is there a way to fix that, or is it ruined? Maybe a little too much editing on your main subject. If that can be fixed, I think it would be pretty much good to go.

I like the concept and even the grainy effect. However, I hate the random white spots that's on her (check near your sig, you will understand). Overall, it's a nice effect you have here. :P

Woah awesome effect, why not try to add some more things on the bg, like shooting stars ore sompt. like a expantion of the brush you used in the top left corner.
Furthermore the girl is now blended in nicely but try to blend her face a bit more. imo thats a bit to outstanding. but besides that this is a very creative, originall and great job.
good luck
