Manga Lita from Sailor Moon
1 Page: [ 1 ]
Hello again,
This time I have a wall with a black and white picture of Lita/Makoto from Sailor Moon. I painted in most of her. Like her face, hands, hat, socks, sweater, ect. I've set her in what is suppose to represent the Palace of Jupiter from when she was a princess. For those of you know the show you'll understand. So, its at night and missing much of the building itself. I've worked rather hard on this and have just plain run out of idea's. Its for the first round in the Make Up! walling contest. So, the rule for round one is that a 'fav' character is to be the focal point. So, that would be Lita/Makoto but does she really seem like the focal point? Should I move her? I just don't know. Should I have something more in the background? Does the lighting look okay? What kind of ideas do you have? People of AP. I need help.

Thanks for your help. ::Angel-chan::

Hi there!
Well, I'm really liking the idea behind this wall. However, there were a few things that I noticed, and thought I should point out. There's like this little white spot up underneath the arch that doesn't look like it should be there. I don't know if it's left over from an extraction or a brush or something, but it doesn't look like it belongs there.
The background looks a bit too realistic than the scan, so I'd suggest either messing around with some background filters, or making the scan look more realistic, most likely with a vector or some sort. The filters would probably be easier to do though.
There's also another whitish spot in the bottom left corner, by the stairs, and the railing up in the top right could use a bit better extraction, as it's a bit fuzzy...
This is a really neat looking wall and I can't wait to see what you do with it! ^-^

Wow, Thank you so much Sakurasuki! I didn't even see those and you noticing and telling me makes all the difference. I know most of it is from the tree... See, I was trying things out and didn't bother to extract is.. so i was lazy and just erased around it. So, most of that is I didn't erase all I should of. The rail on the other hand... oops... I forgot to extract that.. I got lost in what I had extracted cause boy are there a lot of rail holes. But I can easily fix those thing.
And I have thought the same thing. That the background looks to realistic for the image of Lita... So, I guess I'll look for some affect to make it older or something. So, thanks a whole bunch for looking it over so good. I'll definatly work on it and get it back up here for you to look over again.
Anyone else with comments please comment.
Thanks... ::Angel-chan::

The flowers have sharp edges. maybe fixing the shape and putting in some shadows on the flowers might help. you don't have to mess with the bg (except for the flowers and maybe the text), just do more with the scan. the theme is great.
I still think the first one is better. but it seems empty.
I agree that's its empty buy technically, its suppose to be the ruin's of her home on Jupiter... So, it stands to reason. Just if I could think of something to put in it... maybe, just maybe I'd feel better...
So, the first one huh... Well, so far that's two votes against her on the rail and two votes for her on the cement slab. So, I'll change it back... New Image posted soon...
Like now:
I got an idea and I turned it into a photo/momento of Lita's with a few words writen "by her"...
Tell me what you think.
