RAW or Fansub?

I am just a bit curious about if ppls dl raw (anime with no subtitle) before the fansub is out.
I am those type of ppls that will dl and watch raw first and then watch the fansub later when it's out. I was talking to a friend last night about this, and she say I am a weirdo... (TT O TT)
Am I the only weirdo here?
PS Don't you guys feel frustrated when you see the raw hanging around for ages and the fansub never come out??

Depends what type of anime, if it's brainless and simple then the raw will do, that is if you understand enough japanese, but series such as ghost in the shell i'd wait for. but i'm usually not in a rush anyways so i can wait for the subs.

If i could understand japanese, why would i download fansubs at all? the closest thing to a raw that i saw was a spanish fansub of bleach 45...i thought i under stood what was happening, but as i dont know spanish, i was totally wrong on my assumptions...since then, i wait for the lunar release, as they are usually closer to the manga translations...

I usually wait for the sub, but If I was bored or impatient I'd just download the RAW
I cannot understand fully japanese so I only dl fansub, I only learn Japanese since one year...

I'd go for the fansubs cause I don't understand Japanese. However, even if I do, I'd still watch fansubs (provided they do a good job). I can watch it without subtitles but I don't mind reading the extra information fansubs provide sometimes =D
I dont download a raw if a sub is avalible, but there are some seires that i will download raws of becase noone subs it like: Zoids Genesis, and Detective Conan (i can undersant only about a 3rd of it). But thats the full extent of my raw downloading.
My apostrafy/quote button on my keyborads broke, so expect my posts to look weird (in addition to being misspelled)
I'm ashamed to admit it, but I download the fansubs... I don't really understand Japanese well enough to watch the raws.. :[

In some cases I run to the raw but generally I am always waiting for the sub to come out ^_^
but some animes for example the new ones I downloaded the raw ones and then dl the sub later ^_^
