Oro
Ok. I'm a huge fan of kenshin. I have almost all of the current mangas and USED to watch the show (until it went off-air and i placed my personal ban on cartoon network for it.....) but one thing still bothers me. Does oro really mean something?
I understand it's just a stupid phrase to express confusion, but does it really have a meaning that just doesn't translate to english?
soooo cofused.....erm.....i mean ororororororoo :faint:

Oro is just a sound, right? its like. . . its like. . . "umm" or "uhh" stuff like that. . .
i dont think it has any meaning. . . no secret that they all try to hide away from you. . . so chill.

An equivalent of "huh" (or lots of "ouch" when he repeats it several times). It can mean other sounds, sometimes you can hear it from other animes: "ara ara" <--- "oh, my" or "well well", can also mean "what?"
I know it really is some sound to make light of something, but is there a possibilty that it's something stupid that couldn't be translated properly from the original japanese to english?
What the hell is oro is!! but i'm a fan of rorouni kenshin i always watched it's show even i saw it many times before....hehe...just nothing it's a funny and full of action show...
Sorry. I don't know, but I would like to.
ORO? hehehehe it's an expression popularized by Battousai Himura ( Kenshin) My very knowlegable friend explained that it's an expression that is simillar to huh? or eh? So I've been told....
Oro is more like "ahh...."
is a expression of surprise ^^
i really smile when i read/herad it ^^
is the quote more popular that i know XD

Erm, I actually heard about what it was..
It's just some exclamation words that's being used in order to
exchange those boring ones like "ouch -->itai" or "eeeh? --> ararara"
so basically this ORO doesn't mean anything. It's just random exclamation
like (nya, nyan, bui) if you do watch Prince of Tennis. >.> there.

Oro? huh? ^^
Both Kenshin's name and his semi-nonsensical exclamation "oro" are tributes to Watsuki's favorite comedian, Ken Shimura. As used by Shimura and Watsuki, "oro" expresses surprise or dismay, based on the similar exclamation "ara" (generally considered feminine). As proper Japanese vocabulary, "oro" only exists as a word for lochia.
